No, no, no. Let's go back to the dark ages where a manager scouts and buys other players as well as trains the first team, works on tactics, scouts other teams, develops tactics against those reports, etc. etc. etc. Because one guy should be able to do that easily.

Why is the D of F such a difficult concept to understand? Virtually every team has one. Regardless, how on earth can someone on one had criticize Farhad for knowing nothing about football, yet on the other criticize him for hiring someone who does to run the football side of things?

Sadly Dave is all over the place here.

Once again the negativity is astounding. This guy seems to be hard working with the right sort of ideas and plans... but he hasn’t even started his job yet!!!
I thought we were all Everton SUPPORTers?
I would suggest each of you think back 2 weeks to the WHam game and then bring yourselves zen like to this moment in time and bask in the warm glow of an Allardyce free world.
When and if Marco screws up, just use that ‘WHam moment’ to rebalance the anger within and refocus your irritation and frustration on the opposition or the officials.

It's great to feel optimistic again and I like how he reasons behind the scenes long term strategy as that ultimately is what will set us up for the future. Won't happen overnight but he's saying the right things and his past record as a DoF at least is something to give a bit of hope he can do it here also.

Come on Marcel lad shake this club back into shape.

I am quietly optimistic. I have no doubt some of the optimism will turn into cyanide in my soul as we make the inevitable screw up or two, but nonetheless, i am currently basking in the warm post-Allardyce glow and looking forwad to what the window brings; an imminent world cup competition and the promise of some warm evenings sitting in the back yard chugging cold lager
