Moshiri has failed so far, think anyone can see that. It’s hard to be convinced by him yet.

However if Brands and Silva turn out to be the business then anyone who won’t give Moshiri credit for that clearly has an agenda against him.

With Moshiri, I have a lot more optimism that we may actually achieve some things than I did before he came along, and that’s the bottom line for me really.

I'm not arguing that we shouldn't get rid of waste. I'm saying that it's a dangerous game to play by sending out the message to the industry that the party's over where wages are concerned. Pretty much my take on it too mate. Clean start for Brands. Let's see what he does and how honest he is. I want responsibility from him. If something goes wrong it's down to him and I want that acknowledged and a swift solution.

TBH, I see where he's come from and doubt he's going to be able to handle this. It's going from the minor league to the major league and he has to understand that unlike in Holland his post itself is viewed with scepticism.

Ill give Brands a chance, I’d share a similar concern the Dutch league and the PL are miles apart in standard and he’s competing against clubs with double our turnover and contemporary profile, throw in a basket case board and limited squad pound for pound on big fat long term contracts and the odds are really stacked against him. We don’t even have a golden goose to balance expenditure.

I expect we will see the former. But is problematic essentially there aren’t many in our squad we would get back anything like the outlay we paid, maybe one or two, unfortunately they aren’t the players we would want to loose.

I don’t think we are as well off as most Evertomians seem to think we are. I also think this summer was earmarked as one of consolidation, pity last summer pretty much destroyed the football team and every golden goose has been flogged. I think the cup adds may be fairly bare.

I don't believe Moshiri has the faintest idea what he's doing. He thinks a DoF is the smart thing to do, a savvy organisational move, and that if you hire enough of them then one of them will get it right and they'll save you a fortune and produce the basis for success. I've said before that I think the post is all wrong for a club like this. We just don't need one. We need - and still do - a manager who can both coach and command resources and a strong CEO who can work with them and produce commercial results.

No, no, no. Let's go back to the dark ages where a manager scouts and buys other players as well as trains the first team, works on tactics, scouts other teams, develops tactics against those reports, etc. etc. etc. Because one guy should be able to do that easily.

Why is the D of F such a difficult concept to understand? Virtually every team has one. Regardless, how on earth can someone on one had criticize Farhad for knowing nothing about football, yet on the other criticize him for hiring someone who does to run the football side of things?
