He has opened up new channels. The free transfer market is one in particular, where you need skills, competency and connections that we have never had before. Most of our rivals don't have them either. It's a new area and one which could be very useful for us.

This is also true of the loan Market. Martinez tried hard with this but it became clear that he probably wasn't a good enough coach to attract the bets young players. It's clear Silva is very persuasive and impressive and I can see us being a very attractive proposition for sides requiring young players to get game time. We have also cemented a relationship with Barcelona, which even if we end up losing Mina (for a hefty profit) will be far more valuable than any one player. If Dembele doesn't get into the side, I wouldn't rule out us trying to make a January move! Brands is very central to this, and will have the credibility to negotiate with other European teams.

I also think we will open another avenue, which will be buying from areas like South America, hopefully seeing us get lads like Richarlinson, Lozano and Mina as a first port of call.

The club is in a good place. Brands is a very good operator and a difference maker for us. If Usmanov money doesn't roll in, we will become competitive, and if it does come in, then crikey what an opportunity we have.

Point taken. But we as fans were split on the recruitment last year. Many didn’t want Rooney back, widespread concerns regarding klassen’s ability to influence games. Disbelief at the signing of Martinez. General acceptance of Siguardsson as a footballer but not at the price we paid. Likewise with Pickford. The biggest disappointment has been Sandro. I and many expected him to be an astute signing, how wrong we were. Through in the fact we didn’t get cover for Baines, get another Centre half in and lack of a replacement for lukaku meant many fans had concerns for us going into the season. Sadly those concerns were proven right.

Damn right. Also no one was back slapping Walsh cause no one was even sure who was handling the buys last season. Gana seemed like his so good on him but I remember much debate on who was doing the transfers.

We were, no shame in admitting that. And the first few weeks of last summers window was exciting. And players like Morgan, and Williams, started well.

Same might happen here, but at least the players we have bought in look like they have been bought in to cover the obvious holes in the team this time.
 
News just in, the former poster of this parish @MattDamon and @bizzaro has said we only went after Monchi when PSV would not negotiate with us.

Amazingly the flute only spoke about Monchi all them years ago and probably only heard of Brands a few months back.

If only he could remove his head from Myers rear he might have a clue what it going on.

There is no relationship between how walsh turned out and what will happen with Brands
Two different men

UNCONNECTED
Seriously if you think its your job to tell people when and why they can and can't celebrate youve got a problem
