I’d rather be a nobhead who supports Everton than a super intelligent Celtic fan.

Perhaps we could discuss your opinions at the game on Saturday. You’ll be there of course.

Zat’s gonna cream his knickers at the thought of a 15-year old bossing our midfield.
Yeah, and then starts philosophising about stability and spending not being the answer.
I think he's a bit contradictory in these interviews, tbh.
Not sure I like him out in the media speaking like this seems odd for a DOF, I wonder what his motivation is.
I don’t see the need to show clubs like Utd and Barca in a bad light and how we out thought or negotiated both doing deals.
It’s all good for ego, but fundamentally bad practice I would imagine in football circles.
Again I see no need for him being in the media like this.
I see nothing good about it, if I’m being honest and I don’t like that he seems to be cultivating a media profile.
I suspect one thing he was doing was ensuring that the mass of Evertonians believe that Mina had eyes only for us all
along thus ensuring the support is fully behind him. Fairly subtle and well executed since many of us failed to spot it.
In general DoFs are expected to be available to the media to explain the clubs ongoing policies, witness Monchis appearance to explain the collapse of the Malcom transfer recently.
I remember watching the Monchi interview with regards to the Malcom fiasco, I thought it was interesting to hear his thoughts, so it definitely isn't unique that our dof done this.
It was great to get such an insight into the dealings, thought he came across well and can't see an issue with it myself.
Caution will always be there but at least we seem to have a bit of basic direction that we want to go, it hasn't felt like that for quite a while.
Somebody who sings YNWA questioning Brands. Lol.
It’s hard to take your points seriously with a phallus swinging from your forehead. Lol.

There are one of three things in that sentence that apply to you and it’s not being a Celtic or Everton supporter.
Hail, Hail.![]()
Err, lads....Perhaps we could discuss your opinions at the game on Saturday. You’ll be there of course.

That’s fair enough. It’s interesting stuff but fodder for the masses and click bait.
I don’t like it, I don’t think this is a director of footballs role, we can speculate how it came to pass, simply I think club administrators shouldn’t do interviews like this especially indicating how he negotiated specific deals with other clubs and how he out brinkerd them. Why? What’s the purpose and what gain does this earn Everton? None for me.
If you listen closely he also talks about speaking him speaking to Mina and Silva talking to A Silva before deals were done with their clubs. We know that’s against the rules.
I just don’t see the point of this as interesting as it is and it strikes me of him wanting to raise his own profile, he’s telling stories that he is the hero in. Likely via pissing of Barca, Utd and possibly admitting to tapping up.
No gain to Everton any of this.

They're not wanted and Everton is as good a move as they could get. Of course they've been rescued.
Actually, he could identify decent players: Gueye and Lookman were defo down to him IMO.
Maybe if he'd been left in peace to work alone rather than have to kow tow to some clueless Dutch nobhead he'd have unearthed a few more.
