I actually believe Moyes is desperate to come back. He knows he won’t get another chance with any premiere league team under normal circumstances. So I don’t understand where the insistence on a 2 year deal comes from. Our current league position is a disadvantage bargaining chip but if we are smart enough we might just convince him an extension will only be discuss at the end of the season. That’s how west ham deal with him in a similar position.

Slamming the door in his face is the way any other club would deal with him.

He’s still smarting from getting canned by West Ham, plus in his head he still thinks he’s a top manager, hence why he wants 2 years.

If it Moyes and you know im a fan of his, then Brands has zero authority of the managerial recruitment process.
A director of football who doesn't direct. Maybe it's the way he rolls? Afterall, he bought a goalscorer who doesn't score goals, and two midfielders who are never in midfield...or any other part of the field for that matter.

If it's Moyes, the jury is in. It's in for me anyway, but I suspect it will be for the vast majority of blues too if that happens.

Its Moyes, I didnt mean this appointment, I meant his next 1, when he doesnt have an Uzi pressed to his forehead in terms of relegation.

When he is able to sell the club to a proper manager.

Ha Ha Ha.

So, the judgement will be made on him only after he allows himself to be told what to do and who to hire now?

FFS.

What?

Hes made ALL the decisions.

He was the 1 who retained Silva
He is the 1 that will sack Silva
He will then appoint Moyes

Ive said from day 1 Dave, this is Brands show, he makes every single decision at this club.

Your being kind with two midfielders i make it three, while managing to sell our best one. God we could have done with Gueye last night.

If he wears Moyes, he's found out for sure. By everyone.

I'm not as critical as Brands as you, but he hasn't handled this situation well. Yes Kenwright is undoubtedly leading the Pro-Moyes charge back. However had we got a competent Chairman, this morning Brands is being asked 2 questions. 1) Who have you found as a potential replacement that can keep us up and move us forward. And 2) if you haven't found anybody, why not?

I have no idea why he is allowing this situation to drift. If as believed there is a meeting today, Bill will push Moyes, has Brands got anybody ready to go from tomorrow? If not why not? It's 11 days since the Norwich game, what has he been doing?

If his answer is he wants to back Silva, that in some ways is actually quite admirable, but it's incredibly naive. I would expect any Chairman to state to him, 90% of the fans want him gone, we are in the relegation zone etc, this is such a big call are you willing to risk your reputation and position on Silva turning it around over the next 3-4 weeks? As that is what we are talking about. If you go all in in something so unpopular, you have to expect if it goes wrong serious fall out.

I haven't been impressed with his handling of the situation at all. If he hasn't found a replacement manager that is really poor.

You know if Moyes come back it becomes very visible the alliances and impact on the dynamic in the board room and from top to bottom, you can see the Mosh gang and Brands carteling and the Bill and Moyes alliance, its going to be a divided club, board and football dept. So many different tails trying to wag the dog.

Be fascinating watching, as long as we dont end up playing Brentford next season.

Fascinating in the way that someone on top of a crane threatening to jump is fascinating. I find it all terrifying myself.
