So do you buy a set of spanners in Aldi on the Sunday specials or wait till the snap on van with quality tools arrives in June

Id accept a bit of lee way on bad signings and i wouldn't hold him accountable for that, the amount of throughput and turnover, id expect over 7 window period and the volume to better then a £100 mill return myself. Its not great. I dont think hes been great on player trading on outs. Just my take, im not trying to win hearts and minds, lads are very polarised on Brands.

Again im not advocating £100 million this window - but surely there must be a CF/CM you can sign/loan for a few quid who are better than Toshun & Davies?

No but we should have a half decent replacement for DCL to rely on if he is injured.

For someone moaning about Sigurdsson being up top surely you can see the problem here?

I am sure if an acceptable affordable option who will not have a detrimental affect on our ability to spend in the future becomes available we will make a move

It's about what i'd expect, roughly. I don't buy the argument that he's done really well with his outgoing deals, but then I couldn't say he's done particularly badly either. He's probably done pretty much what you'd expect a competent dealmaker to do. Obviously whether you see that as a compliment or a criticism depends on how high your expectations of our DoF are.

Obviously I think we should buy a forward, I’ve never said go with what we’ve got. It was the making out we were desperately hanging on against Wolves that I was taking issue with.

So we weren't holding on against a bang average Wolves side?

If we had a striker worthy of a place on the bench we could have put that game to bed as we had Digne putting a few balls in but we had kin Siggurdsson in the box as we have no proper striker to cover DCL.

We need proper options to finish top 4 imo.

As he should be. Brands shouldnt telegraf what we need or want, that would hive other teams leverage - kinda like what happened when Rom left and everyone knew we were desperate to spend the cash.

Could be a lot of factors as to why he hasn’t mentioned it mate to be honest. It’s not the first time clubs have told lies to keep other clubs scuppering any potential deals for players.
