He's lazy with the January window. He doesn't try to improve the team and hasn't since he's been here. The excuse that there isn't any value in January is repeated ad nauseam by his fans here.

We've never had a chance in the Premier League era to to win it all like we have this year. We snuck 4th by the skin of our teeth winning 1-0 and losing too often.

But yeah. Let's just pay someone to for their job for 3 months a year. Great shouts.

He’s a director of football not director of transfers. Doesn’t just work in the Summer.

I get both sides of the argument that we need signings but also financially it may not be ideal at this stage.

If we were 8th-10th I wouldn't be fussed but as you say this is the best opportunity since we finished 4th under Moyes to actually get into the CL and the money that comes with it.

Having Toshun & Bernard/Siggurddson/Davies as immediate cover for DCL/Richy/Allan/Doucs is a massive drop off in quality.

We got away with it against Wolves being a freekick hitting the post away from 1 point out of 6 - we cant keep playing with fire imo. Back up forward and a CM is essential for me even loan deals you dont have to constantly be throwing £25 million around per player.

Agree here, I think we all know it's best to do business in the summer but it's been his out right refusal to use the window to our advantage.

We could shift a few and not even spend money, we can defo improve the squad by 1-2 loan deals.

Zirkee and a CM on loan for me would be enough to push us on to finishing top 4.

I would only bring players in who have a chance to play otherwise for me its pointless increasing the wage bill.

If Zirkee will get game time im all for it - if he'll be going in the under 23's or just sat around like Nkounkou and Gordon I would rather we just wait until the summer tbh
