If we were 8th-10th I wouldn't be fussed but as you say this is the best opportunity since we finished 4th under Moyes to actually get into the CL and the money that comes with it.

Having Toshun & Bernard/Siggurddson/Davies as immediate cover for DCL/Richy/Allan/Doucs is a massive drop off in quality.

We got away with it against Wolves being a freekick hitting the post away from 1 point out of 6 - we cant keep playing with fire imo. Back up forward and a CM is essential for me even loan deals you dont have to constantly be throwing £25 million around per player.

So we weren't holding on against a bang average Wolves side?

If we had a striker worthy of a place on the bench we could have put that game to bed as we had Digne putting a few balls in but we had kin Siggurdsson in the box as we have no proper striker to cover DCL.

We need proper options to finish top 4 imo.

No we weren't hanging on what game were you watching? They had a freekick that clipped the outside of the post. That was literally the only decent chance they had after we went ahead in the game.

Do we need a few signings, yes we do but to back your point up that Wolves battered us and we were hanging on is just farcical

Come on mate apart from them hitting the bar with the free kick they barely had a sniff in the second half.

There’s a big difference between holding on and tactically keeping a team out.

Maybe holding on is the wrong phrase - but for every Wolves game all it takes is a flukey deflection or bounce in the box like Soucek got and you lose/draw the game.

We're defending well at present but you cant solely rely on that over a 38 game season and the league is very competitive this year probably more so than I've seen in a long long while.

Anyway I was laughed at for saying we needed another forward when we let Kean and Walcott go then soon as DCL is injured we have Sigurdsson playing as a target man. Lets see what happens.

The scum have no recognized senior CBs fit
They are playing two of their best CM at the back
They have Europe to contend with as well as the league
I do not see the German dentists pension fund running out buying players in January
Neither are City (need a CF ),Chelsea (need a goal scorer) Arsenal (need a miracle ) or any other top club
Maybe they all know what Brands knows

You do know the full extent of Brands job includes more than signing players for the first team squad

I get your point about us not putting teams away much but if it really was all about the bounce of the ball one way or the other then we wouldn’t win 5 out of 6 in the league. We’d be littered with draws and more losses. The results are showing what the team is, if it’s gets in front we’re solid defensively to keep teams out, barely anyone can get a shot on target against us late in games. We’re not the type of team yet that will be getting a few goals up and putting the game away. That said, who is in the premier league now? Barely anyone.

But all im asking for is the club give Carlo the tools to make a success of it.

Why is that controversial?
Why does that make me a bad fan?

Baffling the thought process of some fellow Blues - unless you say go with what you've got you're a heratic been the way since the Kenwright days.

People have done nothing but have a pop at Brands over "No transfers", but hes not, as people keep telling me, hes not in sole charge of transfers at this club.

Its a decision that will be made by Carlo, Mosh, Brands and anybody else with a say.

Erm no we weren’t, it was quite comfortable actually. Should we be winning these games 5-0 or something?
