Look at the goal Barnes just scored for Leicester.

We literally have nobody capable of running with the ball at pace other than Iwobi or Rich, and neither of them are actually good enough at it.

Our squad is very, very one paced and that has to change. And it has to change in the next two days, frankly.

I have no issue at all with the players leaving mate, not one. But there needed to be better quality brought in whether they were here or not. Now they've gone, and their wages are clear (mostly), we have to move.

Agreed.

But it's tricky in January. Either punt on some loans for depth....or throw some cash at 1 player of quality.

I totally agree and I think it will be, but not in the next 2 days. I can’t see that quality of player, which we need, will be available in January. If he is, you’re paying massively over the odds which then has knock on effect to the summer

It would be St Maximin in the summer for me. Ticks those boxes.

Entirely my point - not enough interest, player decides "meh may as well leave on a Bosman than play in Scotland".

Too many of those instances. Again, Brands has had five transfer windows to sell the likes of Besic and completely failed to do so.

That's not Brands fault is it? The amount of loans he's been on that have never ended in a buy says there's more going on.

Kieran Dowell went out easier going down the same path. Loan. Then bought.

But the player has rejected moves, so he clearly has decided to do that.

No he's rejected chances to move because the chances clearly weren't attractive enough, so we didn't do enough to move the player.

I'd accept the first two or perhaps three windows of the player being stubborn and it was impossible - but not five. It stretches plausibility too much.

Of course they're not attractive enough. What nutcase football club is going to match the wages we hand out to bit-part players?

It's like if you work in an office and your boss asks if you'd like to move to a different department but get paid less. Do you say yes?

Again, my point entirely. Of course a current Bosnian international can be moved out on loan easily - selling him would be the mark of a decent DoF.

It's Besic. Mid-20s, Bosnian international, decent but not astronomical wages, and he's still here after five transfer windows.

We've been trained to accept Brands not doing his job effectively.

Why do you keep bringing up Bosnian international like that means anything? Bloody ranked lower in the world than Jamaica.

How does he do it? Honestly interested in how he drums business for rubbish players

That's literally half his job. Moving on players that aren't needed.

If he can't do it, he's crap at his job.

Again, it's not impossible - you can't applaud him for Schneiderlin/McCarthy then pretend the ones he hasn't done are somehow impossible.

That clearly states that he’s then decided to run his contract down because his ego is super inflated and he believes he’s better than the team he’s been offered to

Maybe if he realised that he’s a champions standard player it’d be easier for everyone

Or maybe brands can phone up Barca and beg them
