Okay gonna evaluate every player brought in during his reign of terror:
  • Richy - Terrific though a Silva signing (+0.5)
  • Virginia - No opinion (0)
  • Mina - Good addition despite injuries (+1)
  • Digne - Excellent (+1)
  • Bernard - Saw the idea, shame it hasn't worked out (-1)
  • Gomes - The injury makes it difficult to call tbh (0)
  • Delph - Saw the logic, but his injury record was there for all to see, poor signing (-1)
  • Iwobi - Rooting for him but ultimately 35 mil not well spent (-1)
  • JPG - Mr Glass, no one's fault just a massive shame (0)
  • Lossl - Pointless signing (0)
  • Allan - Brilliant but a Carlo signing (+0.5)
  • James - See above (+0.5)
  • Doucoure - See Richarlison (+0.5)
  • Godfrey - Sensational (+1)
So he's done more good than bad in my eyes.

How is Doucoure a Silva signing a year after he left lol

How has he "done more good than bad" in your eyes when your own list of 14 players includes only 3 you are prepared class as an unqualified success?!

If you wanting the fans to get "Moyes hoofball", a "kick in the bollocks" and you "PMSL'ing for months" isn't you angry at Martinez being sacked I don't know what is.

No, it means I wanted the years of plotting against Martinez by some clueless divvies who wouldn't know what good football looks like - because they were weaned on Moyes - to be 'rewarded' by having hoofball back.
 
This divvy's comments re the transfer window: the notion that we have academy players about to burst through and we'll have to blend that with player purchases is for the birds. Ancelotti wouldn't play Gordon, who looked about as ready as anyone.

It’s all in my advanced number system. +1 if they’re a decent player for us, +0.5 if they are good but it wasn’t his signing alone. -1 if they’ve been a bad singing.

We bid for him when Silva was manager, he signed him at Watford, I think that’s pretty clear.

Silva wanted him and Brands kept him on the list because we needed a player like him in the team.

Basically I’m just saying that Brands didn’t do the scouting there.
