Massive success this summer or the axe, no ifs or buts. He's done some good things but some of the horrendous signings he's lumbered with just added to the mess he was brought in to clear up.

The fact he got a new contract is just a standard everton example of rewarding failure. The man genuinely is inept. He recruits for a slow paced league like the eredivise. Most fans could spend what he has spent better.

He shouldn't have been allowed to run his contract down so close anyway. The very definition of the role shouldn't allow it.

It should have a performance related sacking with no compensation.

Nor should he have been promoted to the board. For what?!

It’s not even about the players pace either it’s their attitude, how many times has Gomes feigned injury this season and last to get himself taken off the pitch. A game a few weeks ago where he told Carlo he didn’t feel right to start the game so pulled out. Weak mentality. Shows the level of commitment and desire in the team. He’s got it all wrong and should have been told he’s got 12 months to get this right or will be booted out the door.

I go right back to the signing of alex iwobi. That was more than just a signing. It was a statement of failure. Everything in him was there before we signed him in what the club shouldnt be looking for. Gutless, cant be arsed, here for the money types.
