Whether Brands remains in his current position or is moved onward or upward will be an indication of how deeply we will be becoming part of Mendes’portfolio,
I hope Brands remains and we retain our independence.
If he leaves then it would imply Mendes’ company will become solely responsible for player recruitment as well as coaching.

Honestly, what is the point of this guy? He's clearly not got any sway in the managerial appointment, is Rafael Benitez the "modern" coach he's been banging on about? What's the plan on transfers exactly? It seems utterly scattergun, responding to the requests of the revolving door of managers we seemingly can't escape from. Isn't the whole point of a DoF supposed to be that the managers are one step removed from the transfers so that a long term playing strategy can evolve? We'll, how's that going? What is our strategy? I can't believe he was offered/he chose to sign a new deal, what is either side getting out of this (other than a literal shed load of cash for Brands)? Utterly pointless individual.
