I wish my boss would pay me millions and then do my job for me, unfortunately in this instance the boss isn't the knowledgeable one

My hope is that he is in the interviews we are conducting, explaining our direction of travel in terms of players. Any new manager would have to agree on this.

the more i think about it, the more it looks like he's a paid puppet...on there just to give the semblance of some strategy and football expertise on the board....

...
and i liked the idea of a DoF, I liked the idea of Brands, but I just haven't seen him implement a strategy! THis is one of the worst summers.

After Koeman, ALlardyce and Silva there was some hope of better times, with some decent managers around, and a feeling we might do better.
Now I can't imagine anything positive from next eseason

man gets hired to do a job, boss sometimes makes decisions going over his head

not mans fault
It's his fault that he has no professional pride. To be successful you need to be able to manage upwards and it doesn't look like he is. I'd understand if he was lower rung and struggling to feed his family but he's filthy rich and on the board. The longer he allows his boss to do his job for him the less employable he becomes.

I very much doubt that.

Im surprised some of these 'elite' DOFs dont buy football clubs themselves and turn players over for revenue.

If theyre so good they surely can select a coach and buy/sell players to imptove the standing of the club and then sell it on...
