None. The appointment will show there is no point to this DOF strategy if we are simply just paying him millions to negotiate deals.

He clearly isn't in charge of the football direction of the club and if he is, well then he will have a lot to answer for in the shape of Benitez.

Hiring young players was just a media production. Never going to happen, he is out of his depth and he will splash the cash for self preservation.

We where told that he had a bunch of south American agents waiting to line up wonder kids. What happened to that.


He is only here off the back of PSV's scouting system.


Given free choice, look into who he has hired as scouts and identified as signings.

Scrap the position. A dof only makes sense if we keep the same style of play.

Everton will change managers every 18 months so this position is pointless it provides no continuity.

Seems to me that Brands is becoming more of a problematic gatekeeper at our club, than of any actual use. I don't know the ins and outs any more than most on here, but seems like he won't let anyone through the door that could possibly undermine or jeopardize his position, regardless of whether it would be good for the club or not. Add to that, he's not doing his own job very well anyway.
