That doesn't say much now does it? Digne has been relatively poor since 2018/19 & he still only registered 4 assists that season.
You could combine Digne & James's output and it's still worse than Sigurdsson's.

27 free kick attempts & hasn't scored since 2019, takes most of our set pieces barring of course penalties. 765 crosses - 16 assists = 749 crosses in 3 years.

In my opinion there's a reason why he has only started 2 out of 8 matches for France recently & why we had an improvement in form when he went out of the team.
He's a little too selfish for my taste & I'm convinced if Godfrey would've stayed at LB we would be in Europe next season.

Richarlison might play his best football out-wide especially for Brazil but he doesn't linkup well with Digne & vice versa. In my complete & honest opinion we would play better football if we simply played through Zone 14, making those mandatory 1on1 passes instead of always going wide & spamming crossing like a video game.

Not what I asked, Ricky, I asked in Gylfi's entire time at Everton how many times had he scored a direct free kick for Everton and out of how many attempts? Since that is a stick you have used to beat Digne with, I think it is only fair that you compare the two.

Gylfi has never scored a direct free kick for us, as you know, claiming he has scored 2 is disingenuous as I assume they were for Iceland against the Faroe Islands.

Not even in the slightest, the whole point of my post was that he hasn't been given an opportunity to score one for us seeing as he has always had to share them with Baines/Rooney/Digne/James and even bloody Richarlison. In comparison he took 16-21+ per season for Swansea and would score 2-3 each.

There's a reason why he scored 2 free kicks for club & country last season, he was actually given a chance to do so. Not just 1 attempt every 2-3 months.

He's an average signing, not amazing but not bad. Cost us many games with his shenanigans defensively & trying to steal the spotlight offensively when he had no right to.
I could see him massively improving under Rafael though. Doucouré is definitely one of Marcel's few good signings along with Godfrey.
