A pitiful attempt to shift blame to only one person when it lies across the whole structure. Our club is becoming a joke not because of his sacking (he probably deserved it with his track record in the transfer windows) but this is definitely going to be used by the club as if everything is alright in the garden now that he's gone and it's so very very far from it.
100%

Righfully sacked of course, what an enormous amount of money he has wasted.

But he is far far from the only issue. Who replaces him? What’s the point anyway? There’s no money to spend.
why was there another dodgy loan taken out in November? What was that for?

There's no point in replacing him. He bought crap, or he followed along with what the manager wanted - basically no in between.

The model has failed here. We have a stupid owner who either won't allow a Director of Football to direct football, or isn't competent enough to hire a good one. Either way, there's nothing to replace here - a clown has gone. Good.

….from what we know, he doesn’t acquire players and he doesn’t acquire managers, indeed he was clearly against the Benitez appointment. Benitez getting his way I suspect, deflecting the blame.

No problem with him being sacked but it won’t solve the problem.

Of course it won't, except of course that we have now lost someone at the board level who was right about Benitez.

Also on the Mirror they are reporting he is forgoing the last two years of his three year contract, which is something one imagines Benitez won't be doing when he is sacked.

Haha unbelievable, people defending this moron because of an insatiable desire to have a pop at Benitez.

Benitez has been here a grand total of four months ffs. This clown has decimated the squad over years.

If you honestly think sacking the man who panic bought Alex f'in Iwobi for £30m is "scapegoating" then you're beyond help.

…apparently he was against Iwobi coming in but Moshiri wanted him.

The reality is, I don’t think anybody knows what truly goes on.

Well said

Surprised some people think he's been done harsh here. I think there is scapegoating in here from the board but he is useless.

Iwobi alone is a sackable offence but we're still relying on a mid 30 year old Coleman at RB due to this fellers inability to get in targets that are badly needed.

He is every much to blame as Walsh/moshiri/kenwrkght and Rafael is

Have no problem with this sacking as long as it's followed up by others

…that sounds like he wants out, I get the impression he really doesn’t rate/like Benitez.

Comes to the same thing. He wasn't competent enough to direct football at the club.

Whether that's because he didn't have a clue or he wasn't strong enough to stand up to Moshiri, it really is the same thing - he couldn't do the role.
