For years now this team has looked like one a few results away from a relegation scrap at the turn of the year.

I can't explain that either. I was gobsmacked he got the contract extension offer.

But here's the thing - if he was unhappy with his role to the point he's now walked away, why did he sign that extension? It makes no sense - that's why there's no excusing him.

Personally, I think Moshiri runs the show, Brands couldn't stand up to him and was happy to ride the gravy train, and he's been sacked this evening after Moshiri finally realised he's got to have a competent team in place.

At least I hope so.

Part of me thinks this may partly be due to the comments he made post-match on Wednesday in terms of underhand criticism to the manager.

The manager who Moshiri appointend, so in some ways it's criticism towards the owner.

I think the point here is that we now know that we are owned by an accountant who is playing with our club ,he should not be signing players with the FSW .I have been happy so far but these signs are worrying .I said before we got a billionaire "be careful what you wish for " now it feels like the worst has happened ,he seems to be playing a game not running a club.Worse to come I fear as long as Bill has his finger in the pie .
