The burden of proof is on Baxendale to prove she is worthy of the job - not on me or anybody else to answer your question. We look at the performance of the organisation that she is supposed to head to assess her progress. It has been disastrous. What else are we supposed to hold a CEO accountable for? Why you would want to protect any member of our over-paid board is beyond me. The biggest issue at Everton is a complete lack of accountability. NONE of them have proven to be of use to this club. We must endure the owner - but I see no reason why we need to endure anybody else in the absence of evidence that proves their value. At least Moshiri has been prepared to spend money.
Now, it may be that under Moshiri nobody can do a successful job as CEO. In that case, a person who believes they are being unfairly undermined would resign or bring a case for constructive dismissal. In the absence of such action, it must be assumed that Baxendale believes she can do her job. Consequently, people will make their judgements based on the performance of the organisation she heads. In her case, it's been disastrous.
