Of course but the whole structure was a mess of too much interference, handing Benitez more power doesn't help. Benitez has really done a number on Moshiri appears he is all in!

Why are you making out like I’m a Benitez apologist? I can’t stand the fat pig. I just happen to believe that Marcel Brands is a joke and was rightly sacked.

We don't.

We have Calvert-Lewin who can play up front alone in the Prem.

Tosun is a dud we can't get off the books. Richarlison is a left winger or a second striker, not a sole striker, he simply can't play the role. And Rondon was a punt as a back-up as we didn't have money and it hasn't worked out.

We desperately need a new striker, clearly. We also need to get rid of Tosun and Rondon.

Or having repeatedly insisted that there was only room in the budget to add a defender on loan in October last year, Moshiri decided the cash was, in fact, there all along to sign Godfrey on a permanent deal.

I think Brands was rightly sacked too so we're on the same side, but we have four senior strikers and a junior one we've just handed a 3-year deal to

DCL
Richarlison (he is classed as a striker by the club and he's certainly not a winger)
Rondon
Tosun
Simms

We have four senior strikers

I am not saying it is not an area of need but we categorically have four senior forwards

Two of them are tosh (one of those has been given a fat contract and was a demand of our manager)

No chance Rondon leaves. We were stupid enough to offer him 2 years
