FFP rules were killing us in this window.

How are we going to fix that Marcel?

We aint is the answer.

Benitez will be hopeful of money to spend in January but it'll be a loan or two at most until next Summer.

FFP rules changing next year is what will save our bacon with the raft of big earners out of contract this and last season otherwise it would have been a Richarlison sale next summer to have balanced the books.

I think Richarlison will go next year regardless

Both UEFA's FFP and the PL's cost control measures are judged over a rolling three year period, retrospectively.

So next summer, this season's wasteland of investment will be one of those three years. That will help massively.

I’d rather see Delph sign a new contract than have brands ever get a new one and Delph
Is my least favorite everton player ever. it’s sickening we have the exact same gaps in the squad that we had when he arrived despite him wasting so much money in transfers and wages.

Those who backed this duffer should be like....

Seriously tho can't get my head around the fffp, if we basically don't spend a bean this year why can't we open the wallet next season or can we someone please educate me on this piccled system

We are allowed losses of £105m over a three year rolling period.

We have made losses of about £240m in the last two years, so only £135m over.

we are allowed to take stadium costs into account now and deduct them from the total. There is also some sort of a mechanism for taking Covid losses into account. I also understand that they are now looking at the losses over four years rather than three.

That should help.

So even if we’ve spent nothing this summer we still have losses from the previous two years on the books to account for.

The post from DaveK above shows that the club feel that in the previous four year period we can comply. So that’s good, but there probably isn’t loads of wriggle room to spend. Our wages have been far too high. That should reduce significantly next summer when James, Tosun and Siggy leave.

Peice on the The Mosh & co being upset over Small…

Should point out this is the same fella who reported James as being on £250k / week, so anyone treating this as gospel needs to check their stance on James wages too first !

I've just clicked on his name and seen all the other articles he's written. Not one of them has turned out to be correct.

Has that fake get actually spoken in the last few weeks about the financial situation here or the transfer window...or is he just going to leave it to the manager to explain things?

What a 'kin coward he is.
