I have often said to judge a DoF fairly he needs 3 things.

  1. Almost complete conttol over recruitment (manager/players) By almost I mean the owner can veto a managerial choice and the manager can veto a proposed player target.
  2. Leads the direction of the academy. The way all the teams play is vertically integrated
  3. Time - 4 to 6 years at a minimum.

He could quite rightly argue he is only getting time. Far too much interference around the first two points.

That's not me waving a Marcel Brands flag by the way, even with everything he needs he may fail. It's just unfair to judge him when he doesn't have a clear mandate. (or, even worse.... He does and he's unable to work to it through meddling)

I'm pretty certain that he's been sacked actually and the club are letting him stay on with no wages to save his face. He's doing club PR at home games it looks like from the S'ton game. This window has underlined in spades what a calamity he turned out to be.

There will be some who will demand he needs another 6 windows or something ridiculous.

Hes been here for years now and there isnt one thing good about anything he has done.

Don't think he ever wanted to come here but Raiola told him it would help him move on like Lukaku. Being second fiddle to Dom his first season here and his crap attitude meant he hasn't wanted to be here from day one.

Pay his wages and get him out of the club. He's terrible for morale. And now he just stabbed his own team mates in the back.
 
Do your job and back this manager with players.

FFS, all summer for two players costing £1.5M.

An utter disgrace.
 

I used to think he needed more time and we needed continuity. But to have Kenny & Kean as our back up right back & striker after 3 years in job is appalling.

No matter what happens between now and deadline he's been negligent.
