We haven't really seen what brands can do as he's been consistently dictated to or overuled by moshiri and whatever manager has been in charge at the time.
That said, those reasons Ive mentioned above are reason enough for him to go.
I think there are elements to all of it that ring true.
Brands hasn't covered himself in much glory. He is not beyond criticism.
Not selling our deadwood is partly Brands but also down to the fact they're garbage and on high wages. If we the fans can see these are crap, then other clubs professionals are not buying them
Brands came out stating stability was everything not long before Silva was sacked. This may have been a rally-cry to show support but ultimately i agree with it. Not that i disagree'd with Silva's sacking.
Moshiri has made hirings that are 100% not Brands.
There have been signings that are 100% not Brands.
Brands hasn't been fantastic, but how does a DOF create an identity when the manager changes every season, the chairman interferes, players who have proven themselves not to be arsed, get no interest from anyone. On the flipside, Brands, who is on the board now, should be pushing and saying let me do my job, dont interfere and then prove himself. Brands has a very good reputation in football, he will have no issue finding another top job. If he isn't pushing back and stating what the plan IS and should be, then thats a problem in itself.
I think its a tough job. I dont think anyone at the club has covered themselves in glory. Moshiri has backed every manager so far but he seems to lack some football knowledge, which is fine but that's why you can have a DOF who is clued up, just leave him to it! I despise Kenwright, but if Moyes wanted a player Kenwright would trust his word so when we did sign someone for big money (at that time) then the manager was trusted.
