Oh come on, Frank.

Burnley beat us under Sam with very similiar type goals.

Have a butchers at this, particularly their second goal....and telll me Sam’s team didn’t conceed shambolic goals from set plays like yesterday.

As promised the other day,in the event of defeat at Millwall, I have joined your team of Silva Outers......but I am not having owt Sam did held up as a reason for kicking the fellow.

Especially when Sam was no great guru at defending set pieces either.
nice to have you on board sir. now please take your seat and sit quietly next to @davek

Well we’ll beg to differ as to whether he’s been more glum than usual lately. Either way, I don’t think his negative body language is a trait which gets the players fired up for games, do you?
All the players he worked with have said what a motivator he is. But body language guesswork is probably a better basis to develop a theory about his man management skills. :coffee:

I'm also starting to get tired of "this isn't HIS team yet/there's still tons of deadwood/we need to give him loads more time" shouts...

I'm sorry.. but good managers absolutely NEED to get the best out of what's available to them at the time at the bare minimum. Yes, there are a notable number of players whom need shifting, but at the same time we've brought some decent players in who absolutely should be performing way better than they currently are. A good manager with the current crop simply wouldn't be losing to the likes of West Ham, Leicester, Brighton, Southampton, Millwall etc.

Our current terrible form is primarily down to Silva, simple as that. He's proving game-by-game that he's out of his depth here.

You know what’s the best way to judge his man management skills?

Performances and results.

The players are bereft of confidence and have been since the derby.

A weird post.

Wanting your own team to lose for no good reason is bad enough.....but being so ill informed as to think the Huddersfield game is at home renders the rest of your post suspect.

Maybe weird but we cannot progress under this guy, we need a solid foundation. They way he sticks to this 4-2-3-1 is laughable when you cant keep a clean sheet.

Have the system to match the players that are here now then evolve it as you get better results and then players. An example would be IF the a new DOF or manager going in to Stoke City when they were in the Prem (Long ball team, played for set pieces and throw ins) and saying this is how we do it from now on, playing the Barcelona way. Great idea but are those players capable? And would the players playing in that system without the ability to play that way get you results?

See what I mean, play the system to match the players with the objective being to eventuallt get to the style of play that you want........

Does that make sense, these players are clearly not able to play the way Silva wants them to. And if Silva doesnt change we are stuck with players unable to play a certain way shoehorned in to positions and losing games. Is that good management?

I agree with what you say about Silva all right.

I just thought it funny you going into a rant about Goodison being tixic and wanting Huddersfield to win at Goodison when the match is at their ground :)

I don`t know how BLATANTLY a manager can be out of his depth and do so badly yet keeps his job. Anyone else in the PL would have fired that manager. The start of the season saved him but we are a million miles away from them days.

As it stands now I cant see us winning another game and I almost want Huddersfield to come to Goodison and win, the place will be Toxic. Huddersfield will have seen the Millwall game and if anyone can take note and implicate the physical way they played for set pieces it will be them. How can anyone defend the management of the team? It is glaringly obvious to anyone that knows anything about football he has lost the players and they don`t want to play for him, as what happened at ManUre with Mourinho.

I cannot believe there is a bad definsive unit at Everton, they are just being asked to be way more expansive than they should be or comfortable with. If the manager wants to be better defensively he needs to work on that in training or change the formation. Lots he could do but he is doing NOTHING, just exactly the same and getting the same result.

I am really worried that going with what we`ve got till the end of the season is a massive recipe for disaster.

Because of the above i`m in the OUT camp, clearly not up to it. If we are not going in to the transfer market this January he has to find a system that works or we could be dragged in to a relegation fight, he hasn`t done that yet! Sorry for the essay and no doubt there will be them that disagree, It will be interesting to see the argument for defence.......

I hope Huddersfield do come to Goodison on Tuesday night.....gives us every chance of a 1-0 win if we win the toss at their place.

as far as I can tell, there isn't that much deadwood at finch farm.

they are all out on loan

who is silva being forced to work with that wouldn't be in the squad otherwise??

davies at most...

this squad is mainly of his choosing. no excuses

Sadly I fear the end is nigh and if we lose the next 2 games he will probably be gone.

Take no pleasure in saying that because I had very high hopes for him, but if it's not happening then it's not happening.

Gutted in fact, because it means it will have been another wasted season trying get back on track and we will have to start all over again next term.

The only small crumb of comfort is that Brands gets to choose the next gaffer because Moshiri's record in picking managers is already appalling.

Everton do my head in.

How about the trio of duds in the forward line for starters Frank.

Then there`s Coleman and Walcott.

Then there`s the invisible Icelandic man,

In short, the players in all the areas that need strengthening, bar centre mid.

and we cant do ANYTHING about it, till we shift all our loan players out permenantly.

3 years time we should be able to sign replacements
