Sack a crap manager, yes obviously. Until we find one that is right for us because Silva clearly isn't.
Who could be good enough for Everton?? The fans have high expectations - which is reasonable as they're all high achievers themselves - many of them are indeed excellent footballers, better than most of those on the pitch, but preferring to do other things with their time, like watching other men play football..

I'll never cheer underperforming professional premier League footballers earning astronomical amounts of money win, lose or draw.

They (the club, manager, players, staff everyone) is paid very well to at least try and to put in a shift.

Why shouldn't they understand that it's not good enough. The way the club has been for the past 30 odd years is a joke. Applauding them for utter mediocrity won't do them any good.

Booing may not help either but a Boo is real emotion, a fake round of applause is basically enabling them to be crap.

But as always thats just my opinion.

Is it the managers fault or is it the players fault? Who knows, we can only guess, it's probably a bit of both. We can't change all the players though can we, but you can change the manager.
If you get a manager which is absolutely undoubtedly proven to be a good manager and he still can't get it right then we'll know it's the players, but gambling on a manager with no real track record or playing out a track record that was seen before at Watford, well surely that can't be the way can it?
There is only one course of action. Give him until the end of the season to prove himself and in the meantime start looking for the best manager we can possibly get.
We pay all this money for players, the next manager should be our most expensive purchase of the lot.

We can disagree. I’d just rather have a manger not lining up to draw. I never said anything about attractive football. For me it’s what it says to your players. Let me be clear I never wanted Silva. I just want to see us line up and play.

You approve of a Sam style approach ? That’s for you man not for me.

It`s about being able to adjust your game plan to suit who you are playing, rather than just sticking to one predictable system, regardless of who you are playing.

Martinez had only one way of doing it, failed and got sacked.

Between Koeman and Walsh they lost the plot and set the club back years.

Allardyce was thankfully always a stop gap.

Silva seems to have gone full on Martinez, which ultimately can only lead to one outcome.

He needs to spend from now until the end of the season sorting the defence out and working out alternative game plans.

Unfortunately he`s shown no signs so far of being able / willing to change anything, so the outcome looks pretty inevitable really.

After Wolves game,

Claim:. We can't defence.
Fact:. True. But temperament as well - we lack the temperament of a cool headedness. 1st goal, needless penalty. 2nd goal, no point to foul when clearly your team mate was recovering the lose ball. Both goals avoidable.

Claim: Tosun and Richardson aren't performing.
Fact: No supply line. There is a serious lacking of balls in the supply line into the danger area. Why not put in some early crosses for Tosun, Richarlison to charge into to mix up the boring and ineffective fringe passing (which ends up dispossessed most of the time)

Claim: We lack fighting spirit.
Fact: They tried. Players tried to fight but they are just clueless due to lack of strategies and looked disjointed. Most of the running and charging ends up wasted and ends in discouraging result. Again short of strategies for the fight to be of purpose.

Claim: We need a striker.
Fact:. Will be almost useless without effective supply line.

Claim:. As the commentator, we are having problem.
Fact:. True. Problem of Attacking Strategies (eg. no Plan B), problem of motivation (eg. to wake up has been giants in say Walcott, Sigurdsson etc), problem of defence (eg. silly fouls, poor marking, temperament issues)

Claim:. Silva needs to go.
Fact:. For Short term remedy? Or patience needed for long term vision of club?

Omg I’m not even going down this hole. He did not save anything. We won’t agree EVER.
Good because there's nothing to back up your point. We were utterly abysmal and then came Sam, who did us good in a dire situation. It's not my fault that everyone disliked him on a personal level. If his name was Sam Silva he wouldn't have got anywhere near as much criticism.

In the same breath I appreciate that people didn't enjoy the football. It's just that I recognise it was necessary for a squad as talentless as ours.

the players,, esp the defence should be going on to the pitch with 100% confidence in what they are doing, a thouroughly worked out game plan on how to react against each opposition differently..

clear heads and a group mentality, each player should automatically know where his defensive partner will be at any given time within reason.. you see well drilled teams playing blind passes to eachother knowing that their team mates will be in that exact position, as they should be, at that exact time...

silva has not a clue about any of this.. and the players are just reflecting all this on the pitch

shambolic
