He wasn't massively popular to be honest... Just more popular than Allardyce continuing.

Maybe, but we can't keep sacking our manager every year...
Our squad needs a big shake up & sorted which must happen...
We need younger, better quality players brought in for next season & let Silva evolve for at the very least two seasons...

Marco Silva was a popular choice so why are people calling for him to be sacked...

He needs time..

We must be patient & give him a fair crack...

New,fresh, younger & better players are required, tough decisions & conversations need to be tackled & players moved on sold etc,etc...

A big job that requires time, this will decide Marco's fate hopefully not kneejerk reactions...

Popular choice lol

How is taking his first job in the Premier league career suicide? By your logic young up and coming managers should bottle it and not give it a go when they finally get offered their first big break. That's mad to me.

It would be a brilliant opportunity for him. Most young coaches just can't find their first break into management. There's no way in the world he'd turn down any top flight job to stay as a number 2.
Big money and easy money is for him at City. Why would you go to work, get a managers flack from the media when things go wrong? Arteta is ok where he is for now.

Football management is why these players go into coaching. There's very few of them who want to be a number 2 all their lives. They are fiercely ambitious and very ego driven.

I'm not having this argument that he'd rather stay as a number 2 than take a big top flight job. Never in a million years.
