There were many opinions to be fair...

Going back to before the derby things were optimistic...
But that's not what you said. You said he was met with enthusiasm and positivity.

He wasn't. He had and has huge question marks that, I would say, the majority were asking questions about.

The team WAS playing well enough (but not excellent, it was my stance they were underachieving THEN) but they have since regressed significantly in the last TWO MONTHS. That's not a slump.

We try again to get a better one in the summer.

And then keep trying if necessary.

There's nothing to fear in sacking underachieving managers. I would replace Silva in the summer.

The fear would be putting off any potential manager. Why would anyone come here? You will be on the scrap heap in 6 months time.

So yeah, we are doomed.

Why?

We could still finish 7th, which was the expectation this season, we could win our next 5 home games, theres so much that could happen between now and May, so surely you let him at least see out the season and see where we end up.

If our current form continues, im all for sacking the clown at the end of the season, cos quite frankly our current form is far from good enough, even for a transitional season, hell im currently 95% certain I want him sacked in May, but I see no benefit in sacking him now, today.

That might change in the next few weeks of course.
You don't need to be a clairvoyant to know we will not win our next 5 home games. If you look at who we play and are realistic you would probably say 1 win from 5 would be a surprise.

When ALL the signs are pointing to this form continuing, there is no reason to stick with the manager in blind faith. If he had a severe injury crisis on his hands, or we'd just played the top five in succession, and was getting these results, there would be a lot of understanding, but it all stems from him, his insistence of using his awful tactics and his failure to change them. Nothing points to him improving or changing. We're getting battered by good teams, awful teams, home and away, almost every game. Get him out the door.

I keep seeing people ask why are people asking for Silva to be sacked? They say he needs time. It's pretty simple really. He is not capable of getting his teams to defend set pieces. The stats are there for all to see. At hull, Watford and now us his record at defending set pieces was and is awful. So this is not something he needs time with as he has had plenty of it, especially with us. So we will not improve and challenge for trophies with a manager who can't set his teams up to defend set pieces.

If I could predict footy scores I wouldnt be posting on here, well I probably would be, in between banging supermodels on my yacht.

And 1 win in 5 is very hopeful.

Very hopeful indeed.

Go back and read a lot of posts.

I never wanted him for example.

I have my doubts but we are still a few quality players short...

Trouble is we have some tough games coming up & it does not look very promising...

We must be tighter at the back & not give silly free kicks, pens away...

We are also toothless up front & lack goal scoring power...

Well hes got 14 games then do what hes failed to do in 3 years of managing in this League.
