I have already stated that continued sacking of managers isn't good. It especially isn't good when our owner has pretty much alluded to the fact he isn't going to be throwing big cash on players (read the AGM minutes)
There's certainly an argument to be made for getting a new manager in mid season to get the feel of the club, size up the squad and then make a decent fist of the transfer window concentrating on our weak areas.

That argument falls flat on it's face where you look at us, we're weak everywhere, our owner has said he won't spend big and what manager would take this poisoned chalice with a squad of players that considering their wages will be difficult to flush.

Our only answer, as painful as it may sound to some is to stick with the man we have. Some point to his previous records in the premiership but if we can hold our nerve and wait it out there's a half decent chance he could turn it around.

I know, I know. You have to try to be optimistic as a blue otherwise you wouldn't ever get out of bed in the morning.

I stated in a post a week or so ago that we should grin and bear it but after the last defeat I have had it. I cannot see any Silva can turn this round with the players he selects, his tactics and then the subbing. He just does not have a clue in my book. Okay to say give him time but he has since the Derby to get to grips with things. Also for me after each game he puts the onus on the players or as at Watford on the Ref, never once has he held his hand and admitted he got it wrong.

On what basis do you think there is a half decent chance of it turning around?

I'm just sick to death of us sacking manager after manager, I see no point firing him mid season, he should be given the time to show something till the end of the season.

Without a shadow of doubt Moshiri and Brands will evaluate the situation in the summer, Moshiri will be letting Brands run this club now, Brands will have a massive say in all managerial decisions from here on in.

I agree with both those highlighted sentiments.

However......I have been in total agreement with the sacking of both Koeman and Sam.

If it ain’t a’ working it needs a’ fixing......and it is never too early to correct a palpable error.

So I would not favour hanging on to another failing manager merely because I am “sick” of seeing them being fired.

Therefore the problem lies in recruiting these total misfits, has beens and likely never will bes that have become Moshiri’s hallmark when picking a manager.

We can but hope that Moshiri is not involved in the seemingly increasingly inevitable manager hunt we will soon be embarking upon.

I can see us losing to Cardiff then getting pumelled in the derby and he's gone.
Strangely I think the derby is the one game we will be up for and actually get a result. The crowd and players won't want to give Liverpool the 3 points like we give other teams so easily. Can defo see us losing to Cardiff tho.

My biggest fear is we end up with one of the idiots from the 'manager-go-round' who spend each week lowering expectations before we finally drop out of the league. The reasons they keep employing these managers is because they keep their mouths shut and generally don't complain. I'd worry a lot if we got one of those. (some might argue that Silva is quickly becoming one of those)

I also think if we sack him then it's rinse and repeat but worse because the cash has seemingly gone unless we sell our best players again! It hurts because a decent appointment at the start and the cash we've wasted could have seen us up there contending instead of down there pretending.

But can you see it getting better if we keep him? Because I can't.

The crowd won’t want to give them the three points obviously but if I am honest with you, outside of Tom Davies, JohnJoe, Baines and Seamus I can’t see the rest of them fretting too much if the RS win the league.

I would see at least some organisation and stability. Currently we are on a godawful run and he looks utterly clueless to how to turn it around. Imagine we are bottom half next season and it happens again?! There will be no coming back from it.

You mean like Marco Silva? This is what he is, lets bin the fool off and see if Brands has a plan and the conections we hope he has

Only way we have a shot against them is new manager bounce if you ask me. We are getting thrashed if things remain the same.
