Anyone hear that clown called Dave on Radio Merseyside calling for Silva to be sacked immediately? Of course he wasn't at the game which is what you might expect.

As much as I like the story of Niasse I can not see any other reason that he kept him than his earlier positive experiences with him. The other two are a bit of the same cloth I feel. I never have the feeling they will create some unexpected moment of magic. But that being said I believe not bringing a new striker was a deliberate choise considering all other things that needed fixing after hurricane Koeman. Neither DCL or Tosun are disasters luckily enough. And Silva himself said it correctly about Niasse,he has something unpredictable about him I think it was what was said.

If we have to wait until January to fix this then Silva needs another tactic to draw opponents out. The preferred tactic is to shift the ball more quickly and intelligently but it looks a forlorn wish.

He needs to figure that out. It did for Martinez in the end. Goodison crowds dont take kindly to just plugging away fruitlessly at Plan A.

I think though that there's an element of saying "we doubled down on Plan A in the second half".

Now to me he drew that conclusion because he was left with no option other than to do that.

An extra - and different type of - striker was required in the summer.

Thsi will hapen again and again, almost regardless of whether Richardson or whoever is on the pitch.
We definately need that one person that differs completely from what we have

Ah

Agreed. But I'm not at all despairing yet.

I doubt he needs striker -albeit an addition would be great-, we need someone who can lead the team, that was never Siggy, until Bernard is fully fit to play the no.10 we will suffer attacking wise

Also yes, he should dump the zonal marking already. Give up.

He lost Richarlison so relied on bambi
Gueyes intensity was lost, incomes skaterboy
Walcott goes off injured and on comes Ragnicks pet

Our yoof is not as good as people want it to be. It was blatantly obvious that our intensity and movement was nonexistent today, the same day that the FIFA boys all played

Yes I was there. Do you mean the few boos at the end from a few idiots? Or the smattering of boos probably in shock when Baines came on? Are you one of these people who like to foster the image of a crowd always booing their team? It never happened, just in case those who never went today might believe you.
Except it did happen and there were groans throughout the match and at his subs. Don’t try to rewrite what happened.

If I was silva I would appoint my own youth coach to replace Silva as a matter of urgency. The complete lack of fitness and technical ability from our kids is diabolical. They just run around try to kick people.

They aren't very good at all. Unsworths job is to produce premier league quality players and he has failed miserably.

Terrible zonal marking and two questionable subs at the end

One of the most garbage sides any of us will see in our lives at Goodison and we let them escape with a point

Thumbs down for silva today. He must do better

No chance. We’ve seen and will see far, far worse teams than them. They’re brilliantly drilled defensively and will shut out many more teams than us away from home during the season. They don’t possess a goal threat up front which is a big problem, but they’re not a bad little side at all. Of course we should be beating them at home like, and I’m sure we would have with our first team available to us.
