Transitional season, who said that? People with a bit of sense and a modicum of patience. Hopefully those are not in a minority.

Rapidly turning into a transitional decade.

Only team outside the top 4 to be unbeaten, despite playing half our games with ten men. Yes, we have played poor teams, but they are teams we lost to last season. A good team starts off by being hard to beat and then works on winning games. Last year teams were creating all sorts against us, this season its just set pieces. 1 goal from open play in 5 games.

First game we haven't scored at least two and mainly because we had none of our top attackers at full fitness.

There are some good things to look at, you just have to drop the negative outlook sometimes.

Can't judge the man after 4 games. The one thing I will say though is, there are always going to be injuries, suspensions to our better players, so he is also going to have to be judged on how he copes tactically etc then, it can't always be "what do you expect him to do when X, Y and Z players are missing.

Agreed. Tbf the only players he’s missing were ‘missing’ for RK and BFS. If he wants to prove his worth he’s got to get results without these players or what value can we attach to his appointment.

To many people moaning right now, yeah that was awful today, but the one who coast us was Richarlison , if he hadnt of got himself sent off we would of had a much better attacking side, yeah theres loads injured but he is fit and should of been playing.

No problems with SIlva so far and for the most part the players have been doing better individualy then last season, the positives are there, we just need to get Silvas prefered first 11 out there

And we won’t see Silvas preferred 11 start till at least Oct

This season is going to be work in progress, we will all have to be patient and take this on the chin.

Already this season I have seen an improvement on last season we have scored in every game, in fact sat game was the 1st time this season we have been behind in a game.

It will take time for Silva to implement his style on the players and also get his players in.

All is good with plenty of optimism for the future, we are going to play Arsenal in a few weeks and already I feel like we can get a result, something I have not felt since Martinez 1st season

Yes, he needs time.

I just cant get it out of my mind though that he's watched Tosun and DCL and Niasse and thought they could offer us anything other than average performances. A manager swithced on there would have seen days like this and secured a different type of player that could be the arrow head for a Plan B.

As much as I like the story of Niasse I can not see any other reason that he kept him than his earlier positive experiences with him. The other two are a bit of the same cloth I feel. I never have the feeling they will create some unexpected moment of magic. But that being said I believe not bringing a new striker was a deliberate choise considering all other things that needed fixing after hurricane Koeman. Neither DCL or Tosun are disasters luckily enough. And Silva himself said it correctly about Niasse,he has something unpredictable about him I think it was what was said.

Maisie is above all unpredictable
If he hasn’t got a clue what he is going to do how can you expect a defender to know

I think the step up is to big for them, which is perfectly fine as I hope them well in their football journey. They’re just not good enough for us and people need to accept it

But they are are local lads who have come through the academy so must be brilliant
