Marco Silva is still a young promising manager. I have doubts about his commitment because of the way he behaved towards Watford. If Man U comes knocking for him I have the feeling he will behave the same way with us.
Apart from this important detail, I'd say that Everton is suffering from the portuguese background of the manager. Portuguese managers are great at assembling a well-organized team that will counter attack with quality. They rely on defensive balance and pacey attackers (normally 2 wingers and 1 striker). When it comes to breakdown very defensive teams, things get feisty. Marco is still learning his trade. He knows that against solid defences his team will have to play faster (at first touch many times) but that requires many hours of training. So he will have to find a way to implement that style through training hours and players will need time to that in practice in their match time. Now, most of the managers don't achieve this goal in their entire career. And that's why there are so few great managers.
Marco is young and has good ideas. So far, I'd say that it is frustrating the way we dropped some of the points. But, on the other hand, it is quite positive for the current invincibility.
When he managed Sporting he drew a lot in the league (10 matches out of 34) but lost only 2 matches. Mostly because his team had problems breaking down strong defences. I'm not saying he will reproduce the same performance but I'd expect him to abide with the same pattern for the time being. Hopefully, Bernard and Richarlison will be able to shortcircuit the process with their individual talent and that will gain time for Marco to build a winning side that can be close to the top of the table.
