Tough to criticize him when his options are as limited as they were. Generally I like the way we play and if we'd sort the set piece defending out we will start keeping clean sheets.

He has nearly half his preferred starting eleven unfit or suspended (Richarlison, Bernard, Gomes, Mina) and the ones he actually wants to play and are available (Digne, Zouma) are extremely new and only just bedding in.
As much as I think he's doing an ok job, Tosun imo would never be Silva's first choice striker if he had his way, and Niasse is obviously an impact player from the bench at best.
Add that to the fact he has to give players like Davies and DCL game time as our options are so limited, it's fairly easy to see why we're not winning games.
I'd suggest he be given a lot more time before anybody comments on the bad job he's supposedly doing.

No. But I appreciate that it was one game and we didn't have our best attacker the whole game, our second best attacker left on 50 something minutes and Bernard, who is at least our first option in reserve on the wings didn't play either. Lookman also has trained about 4 times since Silva arrived. Gueye like it or not is crucial to the ball movement in our team. Davies was poor and it made things tougher. The point is we aren't a deep team and the players who were available yesterday were also the ones who had 1 shot on target in pretty much every game last season. The manager can only do so much. I expect that game will be a low point assuming we can get players fit.
Ultimately Marco is going to have to find some solutions and make sure that doesn't happen again but fitness is crucial for us because we just do not have quality in depth. Just one example but the drop off from Richarlison to DCL at left wing is staggering. Silva can't really control injuries/suspensions is the point here.
