What this club needs right now is stability. Calling for his head is wrong imo and comparing him to Sam is utterly stupid. Sam set teams up for a point, Marco for the win. Fair enough, when we don't get that win we'll call him out for it, but we've long called for an attacking mentality in these games.

He got it very wrong today, but deserves time to put his stamp on this club. To be completely honest, the goalkeeper has let him down badly on more than a few occasions this year.

Given the revolving door culture of football managers I can see the appeal of having stability in a DoF.
Maybe but We were able to outperform our budget for years under Moyes, and that is the structure that worked for most of the really great British clubs. I understand you have to move with the times, but often we mistake novelty with innovation and improvement.

I do sympathise with the luck he's getting. Didn't see the goal, but read about another soft soft big decision going against us. So many of them have defined our season. That's football in a nutshell really, be as talented as you like, luck can define everything, just look at the team who are top.

We were bowling along until that derby drop.

The team has failed to respond to that.

A turning point, very definitely.

Unfortunately you appear to be right.

We`ve gone from well organised and tight, to a shambles all over the pitch.

At least these last few games has really shown up the areas in the team that now need addressing as a matter of urgency.

Two points from the last 15 is grim but we cannot carry on turning on managers. We need stability and a platform to build from. We need to stop being fickle and start giving managers a chance. Since Moyes left for United it has been like a revolving door.

I would rather save money sacking managers and spend it on a Striker.

The new players don’t look much mentally stronger. If I’m honest about it.

It’s the club as a whole.
Nah, comes down to the manager and the players. The main thing we lack is the intangible - we get good players who have weak mentalities. We used to have a team that could overachieve due to their never say die attitude.

Newcastle, West Ham, Liverpool. "Setting them up for the win" has had us actually lose points?

The sad thing is our fans will scapegoat player after player and ignore the elephant in the room like under those 2 seasons of Martinez.

Remember how it was always the GK and defences fault for constant mistakes and suicidal defending never Roberto's for the system and coaching of said players cough Pickford/defence.

Or Naismiths fault for being gash never roberto's for not dropping him cough Coleman

As I said yesterday the penny will drop with the fans, I just hope its before we have to ensure another season of this garbage.

Yeah, we have no choice, bar a complete meltdown, than to give him at least a couple of seasons. Moshiri has staked his credibility on it. Don’t forget it was his bright idea to appoint Koeman and Silva, and splash cash around like a drunken sailor.
