Marco will be here to stay, if we sack him anytime soon we really are turning into Watford / Villa, wasting millions sacking managers.

We had no money in the Moyes era but you knew what we stood for, there was a backbone to the team, either Carsley, Gravesen or Cahill, over the years someone who would stand up. That fell apart under Martinez and has never recovered. The board have a lot to answer for, they sacked Koeman without a plan, Marco was flavour of the month and went all out but failed and unlike West Ham who handed Moyes an end of season deal, offered BFS a multi year deal then had to pay him off for a manager who has achieved nothing and never sticks about. Not convinced at all by Silva but having a revolving door of managers won't do the club any good.
Yeah, pretty much how I see it. We’ve painted ourselves into a corner

Watford rightly did the correct thing sacking him and getting in a manager that funnily enough knows how to set a team up and saved them from relegation.

Just say he carried on this poor run for the next 10 games and we ended up well into the bottom half. Does anyone think Mr Moshiri would sack Marco? Would it be financially viable? Would it make us look like a terrible employer for changing managers too often? Would our brand be affected? Or would he absolutely trust he would turn it around?

Silva and the team need to be backed. Changing managers would not be helpful.

There are however two big question marks over Pickford and Coleman. I'm hopeful Pickford's can be corrected with a bit of help and time. Everything Coleman touches turns to crap. Very sad to see.

Whatever there needs to be a reaction after today's result, but just bear in mind that it takes a lot to get over something that bad. So a played semi ok and draw might not be the worst result in the next game.
One of my problems with Silva is he is always looking for another opportunity. Even if he does well he’ll just jump ship

He’s not shied away from sacking underperforming managers before

don't worry about it

we are in transition mate

Stunned....never expected a display which is right up there with some of the cra p endured under martinez's last 2 seasons and koemans 2nd one. Huge test for Silva to get the team winning again. The longer it takes the more pressure will be on him. Having said that spuds played very well, and although imo they will not win the prem imo they had players who knew what they were doing and performed to a system laid down by Poch. We had no system today but I am still prepared to support Silva for the time being. Just pray he is not brownshoes mk 2

They finished 2nd to a fantastic Man City side mate no shame in that.

No ones saying he hasnt had a shocker this season, however he is nowhere near finished hence 2 trophies 2 season's back and two other final appearances alongside those.

My mates a Utd seasom ticket holder and he said most sensible OT attenders were disappointed he went and blamed the poisonous cabal of Pogba, Rom, Sanchez and Martial (and his and De Geas agents) for souring the dressing room.

People want to give Silva time with zero proof of him being able to turn things around yet wouldn't be willing to give one of the worlds most successful managers the same time?

This is why Everton fans dont deserve nice things.

It's not the United standard though, that's why he was booted, if they finished 4-5 points then it'd be ok but 19?

We don't deserve nice things period because we have sections of the fan base who feel the need to be proven right and score points instead of thinking logically and with more common sense. Everyone took to Martinez too quickly and it blew up in everyone's face, no one really took to Koeman and no one demanded Allardyce but we cannot just keep turning on managers or things will never ever settled down at this club

Of course he would be sacked. One thing Moshiri has done has sack managers when they deserve to be sacked. In fact he sacked Martinez one game too late after the Derby embarrassment tbf

I like Silva, I want him to build something solid but NO Everton side should be getting beat 6-2 in any game, let alone at home so rightly so fans will start questioning his tactics and approach.

Patience may be needed, but you won't be getting any if your getting tonked 6-2 at home
