Good result definitely and one most welcome however as I say with the money spent and quality of player at his disposal Silva is still underachieving in my eyes - heck Leicester have just beaten Chelsea and Man City back to back - so forgive me for not jumping on the Marco is God brigade just yet.

I've always said I didnt want him and I dont think he is good enough for us, however he'll be judged come the end of the season and rightly so.

Definitely need a ST and RW in January.

The scoreline didn't matter v spurs nor does it today.

Its how the team is progressing. Are we competing, winning/drawing and making it difficult for `better teams' to beat us - NO.

Are we winning enough games against those at the lower part of the league to finish 7th-11th in the league like just about every other season in
recent years - YES.

I would have Digne over Shaw.

Too early to say. Shaw is a good player on his day. Digne has had a very good start to his career here mind

Smalling is near 30 and had one very good season under lvg and a whole host of crap ones mate, he's not now and never particularly was a pretty good CB, lindelof may end up being a success, but so far two years into his stint at united he's been varying between decent and shockingly bad, Luke Shaw has done that now for four years though and at RB they have who exactly?

There's a reason mourinho melted down at not getting in a defender or two, because the ones he has aren't fit for purpose.

Soto answer your earlier point, yeah some of our players would be better than their united counterparts unlike you seem to believe.

Mourinho is just a bad coach. He is good at coming in and having an immediate impact, but it seems everywhere he goes it ends in chaos

Are they crap though? Someone like Lindelof should be a top centre back, and Smalling is pretty good. Mourinho has just gone out of his way to drain them of confidence.

I would say Lindelof will end up being a good success

Too early to say. Shaw is a good player on his day. Digne has had a very good start to his career here mind

Digne has also been stand out at Roma. He’s been very consistent all season and has gone up a level recently. 2 goals from free kicks for the first time since 2016. Great stuff.

The spurs game was disappointing.But we bounced back in style today, and that should pipe down the Silva out crew for a bit. We won't be top 4 contenders overnight.So let's just give Silva, a fair chance at the job.
