I'm not averse to Silva, but we need Eddie Howe in charge, I'm fed up of these foreign charlatans, when did we wIn anything without a blue in charge?

...I think the comparisons are always worthwhile but shouldn’t be taken as gospel. 27 points on Boxing Day for the past two seasons doesn’t suggest progress, but we can see improvement, not least because we enjoy watching our team more.

Allardyce’s was clearly a short-term appointment, he came in and achieved his objective. Silva’s appointment is hopefully long-term and is work in progress.

I do think, though, that the key appointment is Marcel Brands. The players who have come in have largely impressed and he seems on the same page as Silva. A playing strategy supported by a transfer strategy, players playing to a system and individuals acquired to fit it.
As they say "from little acorns"

I do remember at the seasons start some posters wanting 20 points at Xmas then see where we go & push on.
So plenty of Ups and some downs upto now , but there looks like a clear plan developing here.
I think we are on the right track.

Howe has spent most of his footballing career in his Southern comfort zone enjoying good financial backing and absolutely no pressure from the fans who are just grateful to be enjoying a premier league adventure.
The only time he has ventured out of his happy bubble and ventured ‘oop Noorf ‘ he ended up scuttling back home in tears with his tail between his legs, like the southern softie he undoubtedly is.
I don’t care if he once left his Mums back bedroom to watch us play Watford or Luton , Everton managers require a bit more backbone than this lad has hitherto shown.

You do realise he’s spent over 150 million in the premier league right? And the fact that they have a very wealthy backer?

He’s not some Moyes-like rags to slightly better rags tale.

Is this one of those hilarious GOT regular poster wind up situations?

Jesus! he's 41 years old and left Bournemouth for Burnley 8 years ago so was still cutting his teeth in management. But you, expert on all things Eddie Howe has decided he has no backbone lol

He's managed in every division and is still relatively young and has established Bournemouth as a premier league side. Not sure what else he has to do to win your esteemed approval like, and in all fairness he has won as much with Bournemouth as we have managed as a club with all of the millions we have spent.
