Well, Richarlison offers more stature and power than Theo.
I've never thought that Theo was the most physical player in the league, however it's shocked me how easily he's been muscled off the ball as of late.

Add to that, he's struggled to retain the ball when challenged and often runs himself into trouble - into dead ends. For all his talent, he must improve quickly.

Yes he’s spent £500m, but he’s consistently hit his targets and they’ve consistently performed.

It’s early days for us, but Silva has also spent a lot of money and IMO has not got the best out of these players.

My main issue with him isn’t tactical or his vision, it’s the complete lack of fight and belief the players have had in recent games. He doesn’t seem to inspire them.

I hope I’m wrong obviously, I just think it can be a bit of a cop out to excuse very poor performances by saying it’s early days in the project. He’s got a lot of convincing to do to prove he’s the real deal.

How can you say Silva hasn't hit the targets when we're five months in?

Well you’re putting words in my mouth - I didn’t say he hasn’t hit “targets”, I said he’s underachieved.

We’ve been knocked out of the league cup, we’re no better off than we were last year points wise, all in spite of heavy spending in the summer and last year being the most disastrous on record for a long time.

More worryingly, despite some early signs of playing good football, our form has dropped off a cliff and the players look like they have no fight in them.

Having to keep an eye on the RS game tonight.

Nice reminder that by this time in the derby we'd created three chances from 10 yards out that we missed.

Other teams have spent heavily as well, though? It's not just like there's us in the league.

We're inconsistent and I'm worried he's trying to stick with some things that aren't working. But at this stage we don't really know if he's underachieved.

I mean, it's a safe assumption that if we finish 10th, then we will have underachieved, but we have just as much chance of finishing 7th.
