Reduced the age of the squad.
Bought genuine talent.
Rebuilding a team.

New style of football.
Removing the deadwood from the books (15 senior players)

Consistency on the pitch is a problem. But that takes time.

Or just keep it basic and look at points on the board. IfIfhat was the yardstick...we should've kept Big Sam.
The majority of that is Marcel Brands job, the new style of football is definitely in Marcos remit, however it disappeared about 3 months ago

He got 30 point from 23 games and still have to face top 6 teams 5 times at home before May. Good luck to him.

That talent has to be realised though. Right now almost every player in the squad is under performing, either that or they're not as talented as we think they are.

Modern football is brutal. If by November next year we are showing no signs of progress Silva will be gone. He really doesn't have much time.

Still willing to give Silva more of a chance, three reasons, half a season is nowhere near enough to judge a manager, ridiculous, patience is a lost cause nowadays. Simply, we can not keep changing managers, how many in the last six seasons ? How many players from previous regimes, that either don't fit in, are past it or always injured, do we need more ? And three I trust Brands to know if we need to get rid of him, because he is a proven football man, a true DOF, judging by the players. He's brought in this year alone.

But no one's patience is limitless, we need to be showing a lot more than we are, Silva needs to be able to show he can change formations and tactics, because for the last six weeks we have looked awful and are getting over run in midfield especially, we have been found out, if teams overload the midfield then we can be bullied out of the game.
Some of our players need a hard long look at themselves, but I don't think this formation is helping, we definitely need a striker to hold the ball up, because it seems to be coming right back at us time after time.

Just seen Sarri interview in full. Hat's off to him calling his players out. Maybe Silva should do similar. Few need a kick up the backside.

I am fine with giving him time and it would be a bit ridiculous to consider another change of Manager this early but nobody is above criticism and the fact is that after 23 games under the new regime, the majority of the players still cannot consistently pass the ball to a team mate or put a full 90 minute effort into a game. Transition cannot be used as an excuse for not having the ability to pass the ball or not having a willingness to put an effort in. Silva, his back room staff and the entire squad need to take a good look at themselves in the mirror and do a lot better as it is nowhere near good enough and is closer to embarrassing than any transitional progress.

Get it sorted Everton, we are a laughing stock again.

Reducing the age of the squad - is a complete irrelavance, About on a par with `how many local lads do we have'.
Bought genuine talent - ?? Richarlison went missing 2nd half of last season and is doing the same this season. Gomez the jury is massively out,
Anyway as said that is Brands job.
Rebuilding a team - thats brands job. Silva is making a complete fool of himself asking this team to play `his style' - he has no plan B.
New style of football - more possession, less points, wp.
Removing dead wood - this goes on at every pro club in world football every year ps. Thats not silvas job either.

I'm not calling for his head.

However I genuinely worry that he doesn't see the midfield issue. It is about 10 games since teams figured out how to stop us.

Anyone who plays an extra player centrally dominates us entirely and cuts the supply line for the front 4.

If he persists with 4-2-4 we won't succeed.

He needs to drop one of the front 4 and play another midfielder. He loaned out Dowell and Vlasic, both who can play a forward pass, so that has left only Tom Davies as a functioning central midfielder.

Most blues were prepared to write this season off as a change. You don't go from Koeman - Allardyce - progressive attacking football, especially with the bloated and disfunctional squad we were left with.

However I think most of us wanted signs of improvement as the season went on, when we seem to be getting the opposite.

We will not get relegated this season and Silva will be given next season to improve performances and results.
Getting on the managerial merry-go-round at this stage should be resisted at all costs.
We have some very good players in this squad and Silva needs to be given the chance to get them playing tot heir potential.

If he gets 7th in May than Fat Sam’s 8th that’s mean progress. If he closes the gap between Everton and the top 6 that is progress. Without results we have no progress. Results mean everything. Of course unless he wins the FA Cup.

Results are important, but to put things into perspective others around us have improved - My idea of us making progress is in regards to better players on the books. It’s a transition season, I’m not putting too much emphasis on where we finish this season. For me the important thing is we get the right players in the summer and only then will we see some progress.

Moshiri has pumped £250m into Everton in the past three years. £250m... let that sink in.

Napoli are a far more relative club than Everton at the moment, yes.
And yet in that time, he hasn’t tried to attract a top manager.

Napoli are as irrelevant as us, and in a much worse league.
