If Brands is setting the template for the playing style and all Silva does is coach the players and select the first 11 then surely Marco is not as much to blame as it seems. If that really is the system in place then it does not sound very appealing to managers, as they will be hamstrung before they even start.
Yeah I think we've always seen it that way as fans but it's been common in Europe for years and is becoming the norm here. Obviously it does make it quite difficult to know who's to blame from the outside, because we'll never know if - for example - Silva is sat there saying 'I told him it was a waste of time signing Richarlison and Bernard because they both play in the same position' or not.

Love the fact that we’re creating new and lasting rivalries with our nowaday peer clubs.
Watford, West Ham, Wolves, Leicester and Bournemouth (and perhaps Brighton) is an exciting mini league in itself and one which we at least have a chance of winning now and again.
Let the Sky 6 flit off to some Europe super League...we don’t need them anymore! We are creating new history...new bitter rivalries. I cannot wait to play Watford at Vicarage Rd (although sadly I feel our lion hearted lads in Blue might feel a little pressure and crumble under such intense rivalry). But that won’t stop me looking forward to the next game we’ll almost certainly bottle.
To the future!!...and a new Club Motto - Everton FC :Unsurprisingly Disappointing

...Oh and COYB !!

on current form we will finish 17th

home form sees us 18th in table

away form sees us 16th in table

this is real. and marco has already been relegated once out of the premier league. he has form for this

Richarlison has scored 9 league goals and cost £40m. That's not shocking to anyone in the current market. Also, I don't care what 'outsiders' think. Why should we?

Digne has been our best player.

Gomes was superb in the first few weeks he was in. He's out of form at the moment.

Bernard has shown promise.

Zouma and Mina - so so.
You make good points. However for 40m (thought it was more) I'd expect him to have a better touch than he is showing. Loses ball easier than should and falls over a lot. I'm skeptical with regards to the coaching ability of Silva to improve him long term. I doubt we would get back what we paid for him at present. Maybe it's cos he has been moved to striker, I dunno. Just doesn't seem the marquee signing we would expect at that price. Same goes for Siggy. I'm probably wrong here but both seem like decent players that we overpaid for, that's all I'm saying...
