‘Melt’ ha! Calm down Danny Dyer. I’d say the most undignified thing about all of this is all your claims you’re a big club who will take what you want - not working out that way is it? Don’t get too upset, you might be able to get Pulis next week.

Once again you are essentially spinning a narrative that is deceitful.

Everything is going very smoothly for Everton. Your manager has refused to rule himself out of the job. The lack of any firm rebuff from Watford, and opening of Contractual talks to extend the stay has not been forthcoming from Watford.

Unfortunately the factor that is the wildcard is Watford. They could choose to cut off their nose to spite their face in this situation, to prove a point to their fanbase and give them an irrelevent moral victory. You don't have to release him, and even though we have made a very reasonable offer for a lad who has 18 months to run on a deal there's no guarantee you do business. Logic would dictate Watford, who could spiral out of form as you have done with previous managers and that the chance at 10-12 million quid would be a reasonable offer to get someone in who wants to be at the club. I can't see us offering more, and if we are still interested come the summer we can just pay the much lower break clause value.

As for Pulis, there is no chance of that happening mate, and it is below the belt falsification that is unwelcome here, especially when you are crying about other people showing you contempt. Try telling the truth, not insulting people and you may get a more appropriate response.

Basically covering all your bases there so you don’t lose face. ‘If we want him, we’ll get him and if we don’t get him, we never wanted him...’!!! Because how dare anyone say no to you. No one here knows the real story but maybe, just maybe, the various stories are true. You wanted him, got told ‘no’ on more than one occasion and now run the risk of looking foolish. Maybe his head has been turned - who’s wouldn’t by a club with a larger fan base, greater stature and funds to seemingly burn!? He’s openly said it’s for the owners to discuss. And it appears they have and it hasn’t gone well for you. There may well be no ‘tapping up’. But I’d say the PL will take a dim view of you repeatedly making offers for another clubs employee when you’ve been told it’s not open for discussion. But of course, you never wanted him...

I suspect he was one candidate we wanted to talk too. We made a huge offer for him, well over what would normally be deemed acceptable. If Watford refuse to play ball, we can let the situation develop, I suspect negatively and may well be able to pick him up if he gets sacked. It's not a massively complicated chain of events to get your head around is it?

Last time I checked, Silva wasn't based on Merseyside either. I'd give up the chase now guys, 'Big' teams shouldn't need to be so undignified. You've been told no, now move along.

Nobody has told us no. Your CEO/Chairman haven't come out and said no. Neither has your manager. Stop misrepresenting information. Your manager has given us the green light to continue, so we will, hoping Watford will not cut off their nose to spite their face and accept a very generous offer for a manager they only deemed worthy of a 2 year deal.

As for the substance of what you say, it's yet more misinformation.

We have not "struggled to take your manager" for 3 weeks. We made an enquiry a week ago, that was rebuffed. There is no legal way we can take your manager if you choose to keep him. It's hardly a dig at Everton for saying we haven't been able to do something we have no legal ability to do.

He was never first choice. I suspect is the trail goes dead it will be because we move onto newer targets. Frankly I would withdraw attention from him. He has a break clause in the summer when we can get him for nothing. He's likely to be out of a job by that point. We will move away. You will think you've won no doubt, when Everton will have elected to go down a different route.

Lets put it this way, if we really want Silva and put pressure on him, he will resign, but there's every chance you stick him on gardening leave to save face. Crazy strategy from Watford, but each to their own. Lets not try to spin what is likely to be Everton moving onto other targets, as Silva desperately telling us to do 1 after 3 weeks of attention though lad. That falsification will not go down well here.
I can no more control another Watford fan on here more than you can control another one of your own. I haven’t even gone back as far as to see what he/she said that you take offence to. So we can remove that debate. You are entitled to see your chase for Silva however you want. Koeman was sacked a long time ago and most clubs would have a successor in by now. Many of your own fans on here have stated you’re making a mess of this. But when it’s pointed out to you by a fan of the club who’s manager you’re trying to take, suddenly the story changes. Everyone can be guilty of spinning a story to suit their own agenda. You’ve set your stall out as a club that you want Silva and the position hasn’t been filled for weeks. If it makes you feel better to say that if you aren’t successful getting him, it’s because you didn’t want him and have moved on, that’s your look out. But I think WFC fans and the wider football world will see it differently. You’re a bigger club than us in every way. But you may have to learn in the PL, that doesn’t constitute you being able to get your own way every time.

We've obviously made a mess of finding a new boss. But you claiming Silva has turned us down is absurd. He's literally gagging for us. It's also ridiculous to claim the moral high ground since your club treats every manager they appoint despicably. If we really want Silva we will get Silva. Let's see what happens today.

'Silva could resign'
Watford v West Ham (16:00 GMT)

Watford are very keen to ensure that Silva doesn't go to Everton. They've rebuffed all approaches, and intend to rebuff all future approaches.

That throws the ball into Silva's court. He knows how easily managers can be sacked at this club. A Watford season ticket last longer than a Watford manager in recent years.

My gut feeling is that Silva will have to resign if he wants to go to Everton. I think there's a strong possibility he will do that.

I think Everton could get this over the line if they push the right buttons.

Talk to the Pozzo's regularly huh? Are you simply a wum or do you actually believe this with conviction?

Silva hasn’t categorically declined any interest in the Everton job.
That leads me to believe he is interested.

Watford’s main objective is to now screw Everton out of as much money as possible.

It’s all a game. Who will blink first, Everton, Watford or Silva.

My money is on Silva forcing the move through.
