This is my point. I don't think there is a figure. As the scope is anywhere between £10m-£30m and we simply don't need that money. Everyone has a price but the price range of compensation seemingly doesn't make it tempting at all for us to accept. Should that range be bigger, you'd have more chance IMO.

...I think this is more about politics and strategy than money. If Watford have refused Everton’s offer then the ball would be in Silva’s Court. If he wants to leave, i imagine he would tell the owners. That would normally progress a move.

Tbh, I actually would rather he stay for this reason. There's enough money in the Prem for smaller teams to stand up to bigger ones unless the player/manager's head 'gets turned'. I'd like to think that any manager we'd be interested in wouldn't want to jump ship that quickly...

Not sure if he's the one or not, but I remember being very impressed with an old interview, I think Sky, done with Michael Dawson who played for him at Hull.

He talked about how there was great attention to detail in the training sessions. Remember him also talking about how every player would know their roles going onto the pitch, with the ball, without and set piece situations, again, just great attention to detail.

Given we've looked like a bunch of headless chickens with little or no organisation most of the season he might prove useful.

As a fan of WFC, wheres your evidence of £15m being enough out of interest? We bought Andre Gray for £18m - so I strongly doubt £15m is enough. We can't report you for tapping up if you haven't done it. Watford's statements are nothing as we haven't made any. I agree Silva is open to the move as he has had ample chance to dismiss it and isn't doing so. What's been heavily reported is we have said 'not at any cost' to you. How that constitutes there being an acceptable figure I don't understand? And we have shown today that he will get on with the job with us until told otherwise. He may be open to a move - but I don't see him actively angling for it.
