This is my point. I don't think there is a figure. As the scope is anywhere between £10m-£30m and we simply don't need that money. Everyone has a price but the price range of compensation seemingly doesn't make it tempting at all for us to accept. Should that range be bigger, you'd have more chance IMO.

Ultimately your manager wishes to leave you and join us and that is what will happen. Whether in the end there will be repercussions for us in the shape of fines for illegal approaches or some such is irrelevant. We will deal with it. Silva sees a chance to further his career with a higher profile club and knows that that chance may not be there in two weeks. He is ambitious and will, in the end,make the move. Short of chaining him to your ground (which may be illegal) there is little you can do about it. A deal will be done.
In fact I'll bet a deal has already been done, and we are being courteous and allowing you a few days grace to sort a replacement. That's because we're dead nice really.
