No-one is worth that kinda of money, but if the club wants to pay it in this inflated market you would hope they have done the due diligence to ensure its the right appointment.

Koeman was deemed worthy because of his Southampton time, they should have done more digging. Martinez was never going to survive another season as he wasn't Moshiri's man.

If he's that good that someone comes in for him that he can't refuse, then we'll be in a much better position to get someone good in - will look forward to bellyaching about the bigger fish raiding us if this is the case. If he ain't, I guess he'll be doing a round of golf with Koeman in the Algarve. Either way, that's football.

Yes mate. Unfortunately football managers and footballers in general are always looking to the next club, and it’s the tail wagging the dog nowadays.

Koeman was looking at Barcelona as his next step from us, but that didn’t work out too well!

Plus whatever figure we pay in compensation then becomes a benchmark that any other team would have to start at should he impress at us.

Gives,a,degree of insurance against a fair few teams at the projected value we'd pay.
