I'm neutral on it. I can see the upside, but equally I can see the sense of allowing Unsworth to get us through the next 6 months and allow us the summer to get a decent manager in who maybe has a better pedigree than Silva.

Risk there is that I'm really not sure if Unsworth is the right guy...

I'm with you in principle though.

whoever or whenever this or anything happens if next few weeks, needs to be fast,as only fri/sat before saints game, only mon/tue before west ham game, only the thur/fri before huddersfield game, hardly any time for the new boss to meet players etc

I'd settle for just getting him in now, come what may. Watford may be trying to set up a replacement too.

I don't think anything is going to happen in advance of Southampton, but it would be disappointing (again) not to have news by the West Ham game.

If he was even only in the stands for that then we would have clarity and could begin to think ahead.

Out of interest why do you believe Silva seems to want to come to you?

If it’s down to the silence then I’m fairly certain that could be contributed to Marco using this as a contract negotiation with his bosses. I’ve not seen him say anywhere that he wants this job

He signed a two year contract with a one year break clause at your club mate, your club has prior on sacking the manager who did a great job getting you up because he wanted a new improved contract.

Now which do you think is most likely, he wants to extend his contract at a club which typically changes manager every season and doesn't pay 'that much' in relative terms

Or

He actually wants to jump ship, double to quadruple his salary at a club that only tends to sack a manager for massively under-performing - rather than changing manager as a policy

Reckon another day gone... gotta be some movement before this time tomorrow if we are bringing him out at half time

Meanwhile, the Everton board are blissfully unaware - or ignorantly aware - we are even arsed and are picking what to have on the corporate menu for the xmas do.
