Can’t speak for others but I have never, not once, denied that. I disagree that he’s ‘unhappy’ because he could have resigned. We don’t know how he feels - all we have is him saying certain things that I would say constitute him being happy at Watford but perhaps feeling he could be happier at Everton given the opportunity. You can label us many things, but I wouldn’t say the vast majority of Watford fans are stupid - if he’d sulked about, made a fuss, and the team look poor last Sunday, the fans would have quickly turned and wanted him gone. But that didn’t happen so we are happy to accept the situation as it is.
Very fair reply.
Do you believe that it is all finished now ?

We need a manager mate, the club are trying to buy one, ofcourse we will have to pay over the odds mid season, no pleasing some people, I despair at our fan base sometimes I really do.
No mate. Massive amounts for Watford manager with no track record in this league is ridiculous. Not even the top clubs would do that , and don't pay anywhere near that amount.

It screams of a club coming into money and not having a clue how to manage it properly. Throwing so much money at Watford for such an inexperienced manager in this league is the same as paying a huge amount of money for a player who has only ever had one good season.

I'm sorry but I disagree, the minute you try and justify paying so much for a manager is the day we become Aston villa or Leeds United

From an outsider looking in it seems that your club pulled out all the stops to get their first choice manager...

The only surprise was not finalising a short list and sounding out managers pre sacking Koeman....unless you believe Unsworth can get you to safety as an interim manager

Personally I do. Depending on what you do now, you may or may not come calling again in the summer. But I think it’s done for now. Your guy Joyce saying Ragnick is staying put so it seems Unsworth may get it by default. I’d be going after LVG if I were you personally but that’s for you guys to discuss as who you go for now is none of my business.

He’s probably used us to get a new contract.

Can’t wait for Moshiri to ring Jim White to say he was at Everton but changed his mind during the meeting and went back to Watford. This will then of course be said to be untrue by everybody else in the footballing world.

Then there are two mental clubs here.

Everton for even thinking of giving that for a manager.
And Watford for not taking it.

Absolute idiots everywhere.
I agree - ironical we allegedly offer that amount to a manager who was relegated , and then our last win was coasting 2-0 at goodison to be beaten 3-2 - also very lucky to win v west ham at home - yes he may have potential but we need something more than that and at that price???????

Starting to get the impression we will stick with unsworth and go through all of this in the summer .

Or more likely stick with unsworth until it's clear giving him the job was a bad decision and have to bring allardyce / pulis in just to stop us going down.

I'm not sure you've understood what irony is Joey

Money is irrelevant in the modern game. If a new manager can improve your final league position by 5/6 places then that’s the money repaid

We’re only held to ransom because we have absolutely no idea what we are doing so we get ourselves into these preposterous situations.

Tuchel is going absolutely nowhere near Everton, almost certainly the first to bin us off.

This. He would probably have been the first one approached as he is free, no compo and the most highly regarded.
