People seem to think I’m saying it just to have a laugh at your expense. But I really am not, as despite all this, I’ve never had a problem with Everton or you as fans. But take all this conjecture out of the occasion and take it from a Watford regular - Silva is a good manager for a club which is currently in our position. That’s not me saying we are ‘massive’ - just that we are doing well and he has a talanted squad that is set in a good balance for how he currently sets teams up. He is not what you need. Judging by your performances this season, and this is only from what I have seen - but you need someone to tighten you up at the back, that is NOT Silva’s current strength. You’ve said you also have talented players being lazy or not performing - we have a couple of those too - and rather than get a tune out of them, they have been firmly benched.
I’ll lay off the obvious candidates to do exactly what it appears you need as many of you have said you won’t accept them - there’s an extremely obvious one I’d be throwing money at. And I wouldn’t want him at Watford either. But sometimes needs must. I’d be far more open to Big Sam if I was in the current predicament Everton are.

What I get from the Pozzos is that it's all business. If they were certain that Watford were 100% safe, then they'd have your hand off if you offered a decent price for them to find the next guy and take their profit.
A 2 year managerial contract with an option to call it quits after 1 year seems to be the standard.
If I was Pozzo, I would be highly tempted to do the deal. Money in hand and still be fairly safe in the league to hedge against any disruption. But not totally safe which I think is the fly in this particular ointment.
If Marco wants us then it's up to him. A run of 5 bad games and no one will want him. Can he wait until Summer and take the risk?

It’s all so bizarre, I get that they’re running a high and their fans are enjoying it but they’re not even a blip on the radar of a club like Everton. They’ll be down , and up and down and up again several times over the next few years and I doubt we’ll even notice.
