For a moment he would have filled us with chest banging pride "we take who we want" but soon we would have realised "oh dear Mother of God we've just appointment flavour of the month manager who cant defend"....

But yet we are on the cusp of appointing BFS. A man who has a worst win percentage of all current epl managers. Including Silva who has had the magnificent talents of a hull side who he very nearly saved, who had sold all their best players and now languish at the bottom of the championship with basically the same squad. He is and always will be infinately better at his job than BFS.

And that's why he would have taken you down. 6 conceded to man city, 4 to man Utd, 3 to Liverpool, 3 to Bristol City. All at home. It's great for the neutral but it gets a bit repetitive after a while for me.

He's got no plan b. We've got spurs at home on Saturday. Exactly the same thing will happen. The papers will say how well we played despite conceding another 3 or 4 at home, you'll see.

Silva would have relegated Everton with his defence witz

To be fair, their keeper’s not the best and with the money we allegedly have available, he could buy a couple of defenders more suited to his style of play.

Controversially, I’m not convinced about their Brazilian striker, Rich....whatever his name is. Seems to squander his chances.

Looking forward to the Watford fans coming back on and ripping the back out of @davek
He has been in denial, wonder if in the acceptance stage yet

As a Watford fan I am waiting for the Silva is not all that and we were never really in for him comments.

Maybe some can now accept that splashing money around doesn't always get what you want and sometimes no means no

Anyhow wish Everton well apart from playing at the Vic later in the season

Thought you were on about Pickford then before realising you're a Watford fan. Was going to say the only decent position we have is goalkeeper.

Nice mate, although I'm not sure Silva is what we need right now. Before the Southampton game I was all in, but after that performance I think Alardyce is the only one capable of getting us out of this mess.
All the best

When all is said and done mate, Silva by all accounts wanted to come. Hence some people thinking it was only a matter of time.

Respect to Silva for not demanding the move or resigning. The majority of football fans are tired of mercenaries and it is good to see somebody respecting their contract albeit however how long for that remains to be seen.

That said, I reckon Sam will be gone and he will be here next season.

WHAT A NICE GUY!

Nicer than the twerps who got me thrown out of your rockery/rookery end years ago when Stephen Hughes netted us the winner in the 92nd minute.

Best of luck
