Cant really decide whether i want Silva or not. Hasn't really done a lot but seems to be highly rated and respected and seems to peform well right from the off. Just Not sure if he is right for the blues. Wouldn't want another passionless Koeman. One good thing though is that we know for sure that Everton are definitely looking for a new Manager. I dread to think were we would end up this season if Rhino were to remain in charge. Love him and has done a terrific job with the under 23's but him getting and loving Everton isn't enough to warrant leaving him in charge. Have seen nothing in his first 4 games in charge that points to better times ahead. Mostly more of the same bar a few short spells. It has been the same as under Koeman i.e baffling team selections, no balance, no width, too many changes, favouritism over players that he likes whilst not selecting performing players such as Vlasic.

So it is good know that we are looking for a new Manager.

Would i rather have Silva over Rhino, Dyche or Allardyce? Yes i would.

See how it pans out.

Do a bit of research, mate. He's done quite a bit for a young manager.

Thing is, for the money Everton are offering to a manager in wages they really should be able to get a real top drawer name in.

Failing that, enticing somebody from the likes of Watford (no disrespect meant) would surely give them a chance of getting him.

Fairly confident, C?

(we all know you know nothin' you bad melt x)

Quietly confident P. Always thought and hoped he'd take over when Koeman left/was about to go.

I could tell after we beat them, sitting in his press conference, that he was being fairly weird towards questions about taking over here. One of their journalists asked after his initial response - "I'm not talking about it, here to talk about the game" - and you kinda thought that if Everton/someone bigger than Watford ask for him, he's seriously thinking about it.

And yes, I know nothing. Just a hunch or two x

Wins the cup in a non official suit.. gets sacked. This is amazing.

He must have thought "that suit is a bag of balls, am wearing this cool arse suit and don't care"

Nope mate, it's even more bizarre, they sacked him for not wearing a suit at a league game 6 months earlier, basically it was just a pretext as they wanted to hire Jorge Jesus from Benfica, funny thing is though after not winning a trophy for about 7 years before Silva - they sacked him to get the 'big name' in Jesus in and he hasn't won a thing so far and basically finished around the same position in the league too.

His overall record looks like he's a proper coach. He motivates players, he gets them working as a team, he improves individuals. He knows you need pace and strength these days, something EFC collectively didn't seem to realise in summer.

I wanted Tuchel but for me he's next in line and I just hope we do the needful to get him in.

First job he took after finishing playing was a DoF role at Estoril - think he did it for a year before stepping into the managers role

You are in a minority mate, Unsworth isn't the answer.
I'd rather stick with Unsworth as temporary manager (without any given timescale) rather than make a rash decision on the wrong manager. I certainly wouldn't want him to be installed on a permanent basis at this stage until he has proven that he is worthy of it. He hasn't shown that he is capable so far but that may change the longer he has.

I would hope that the new person would be in place by end of December at the latest as I believe it would be easier to attract players during the transfer window.
