Sorry mate but Poch has been brilliant since coming over. Are you honestly going to say Ferguson stunk the place out in his first season after what he achieved? Poch didn’t have loads of money. Ferguson never to begin with. Wenger never had tons and look what he achieved. If you don’t take a risk sometimes then you miss out on these managers.
But he did. So the message is that even a great can fail here. There'd be no leeway offered a lesser manager like Fonseca if he did the same.

Just beat me!

@roydo

For the record he lost his only Carabao Cup game against Bristol, then won his only FA Cup game against Bristol again.

I'd like to add, both city sides were 'weakened' sides.

Especially the fa cup game where we fielded a few youngsters as it was sandwiched between (or close to)our league cup run.

People need to back the new man and stop arguing about him. The alternative of keeping Fat Sam is dreadful. Silva might surprise or he might fail - that is the beauty of the game of football.

They will back him once he is here, because they have no choice, but that dosent mean going for Silva isn't a wasted opporunity.
It will be a pathetic move from Moshiri, it will be him that questions now need asking about.

Silva issue from the rumour mill was that he talked to players about bringing them with him to Everton. They talked about it and then the deal never went through. Players and managers morale hits the floor. Watford had to probably sack him.

Last season Silva was a manager about Watfords level. On leaving Watford half way through the season, he showed nothing to suggest he is above that level.
I am ok with him coming, but it doesnt strike me as a message from the board that there is vast amounts of money swishing about to make next season any different from whats gone before

But he didn’t fail though did he? One bad season doesn’t change how brilliant he was. It clearly shows managers with no premier league experience can do great jobs. I named many. Yes some had a larger budget but others didn’t. Sometimes you have to take a risk.

When Martinez obviously wins the W/C with Belgium, mosh will realise his mistake in sacking him and employ him on a 1 year £20 mill contract ....:cool::cool::cool:. What...A ...Manager,.

Pellegrini odds on for West Ham

And yet moshiri stuck on this joker.

Absolutely disgusting.

Wouldn't go as far as to say "disgusting", If we had got him when we originally went in for him there would not have been much dissent amongst fans.

People didn't want to give Martinez a chance, look what he did in his first season, won us the clubs historical 72 point trophy.

Whilst I am not overjoyed, he has decent pedigree. we can't cherry pick on his management career, either judge it as a whole or not at all. He hasn't just managed Hull and Watford.
