we've clearly been working on this for months, and pretty sure Silva will have already been involved behind the scenes in some form.

We're going to go for him - we are going for him, and you'd imagine it'll all be sorted by the end of the month.

It'd be pretty illogical for us to be looking at anyone else now having called Watford out in public.

Could well be a bluff from us but I'd probably guess it's true.

As said previously, Watford are utterly shady when it comes to managers - hiring and firing - so it's not completely out of the realms of possibility.

Silva resigned from Hull on the 25th of May and was hired by Watford on the 27th.

They'd definitely had contact while he was employed at Hull.

Does anyone have doubts like me that silva is the man to ‘take us to the next level?’ I’m certain the football will be better to watch than under allardyce (but that’s not hard). But even with another outlay this summer, I really doubt we can seriously contend for the top 4.

I had my doubts up until about 10 minutes when I saw that bombshell from Everton.

He’s one snidey little rat is Silva and I’m now his biggest fan.

To be fair, I think it was the Watford players who downed tools on him, rather the other way round. When they realised he was prepared to ditch them.

Fortunately we have a group of players who wouldn’t dream of downing tools on a manager..

Well I will certainly be 100% behind Silva if and when we appoint him. Who knows, we could be the perfect club for him and the partnership with Brands could work spectacularly well. He's still relatively unproven as a manager in my opinion but I'm happy to put our wonderful club in his hands if he has the vision to lead us into the future, and the skills to make that vision a reality.
