Let me see if I get this straight. Everton asked Watford if they could get Silva as manager. Watford said "no". Everton offer money, Watford said "no", Everton offer MORE money, Watford said "no", etc.

Everton appoint Fat Sam. TWO MONTHS after this Watford are in a tailspin. Your manager turns off his phone.

And THAT is your "proof" that Everton tapped him up? TWO MONTHS after they appoint ANOTHER manager?

And YOU have the audacity to say "Honestly, listen to yourself"? Mate, you might just have had a manager who didn't want to work there anymore.

And I really REALLY don't want Silva.

You see how silly this all is when you look at the facts that are actually available to us. This whole affair just makes Watford look like a small time club with a very petty owner.

I love the fact that Watford owners are saying that us appointing Silva is proof we tapped him up. If we were tapping him up why would of offered between 15-20 million for him? Then hired allerdyce when we got knocked back?

This is my concern too. At worst case I think he'll have us in the top 10 with the state of the rest of the league so we can always get rid if he's another Martinez- however I think at Everton with hopefully 4-5 new first team editions he'll have enough to do a decent job in as I said a poor league outside of the top 6.

The thing for me is that we could do with replacing both Bolasie and Tosun with 2 top quality goalscorers as we may very well need to outscore the opposition.
Tend to agree, main issue is just more wasted time with a manager who really can’t take us on. All I’m hoping is that he’s learned from those games in Premier League and is able & willing to work on the problem unlike Martinez.

WHEREVER Marco Silva has gone in the last five years - and this is his fifth club in that time - compatriots Goncalo Pedro and João Pedro Sousa have gone too.

Add to the mix ebullient goalkeeping coach Hugo Oliveira, who joined them at Hull City from Benfica, and you have Team Silva.

João Pedro Sousa (assistant manager):

sousa_1.jpg
Sousa (right) often took the lead in training at Hull City. He has known Silva since 1998, when they played together at Trofense in the Portuguese league.

Sousa started his career as an Under-19 coach at Braga and teamed up with Silva again at Estoril. Their partnership proved an immediate success, with Estoril promoted from the Segunda Liga in 2011/12, before finishing fifth and qualifying for Europe in 2012/13.

After that moved to Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon, where they again enjoyed success, finishing third in the league and winning the Cup, before bizarrely being sacked, apparently because Silva had not worn his official club suit for a match.

At Olympiakos they won the Greek league in their sole season in charge, before resigning.

Goncalo Pedro (first-team coach):

Pedro take certain parts of training at Hull, including the warm-ups, as well as leading on fitness and workload monitoring. His coaching career began with youth teams at Benfica and Sporting Lisbon, before he moved to Saudi Arabia to coach at first, the national Olympic team, and then at wealthy club side Al Ahli.

Silva brought him home to Portugal to work at Estoril and they have been together ever since. Team Silva has never stayed at any club very long, a trend that Watford fans will want to change now.

Hugo Oliveira (goalkeeping coach):

A lively and engaging character , who the Hull keepers enjoyed working with.

Oliveira worked under Carlos Queiroz with the Portuguese national team - a stint that included the 2010 World Cup. In July 2011, he moved to giants Benfica, where he stayed for six years, before the call came from Silva and Hull.

He’s gotta be at us longer...

Farhad and Bill, sat there pissing themselves when the letter comes through from the league about their 'illegal approach,' whilst looking at an illegal pre-contract from Watford to Silva.

Bill will have this all beautifully scripted and choreographed ready or opening night on Broadway....I can see it now ...” Marco & The Amazing Technical Jarg Precontract”.....more better known by its colloquial name “Toffee Z-Car Hornet Massacre on Gwladys St”.
